So much for wanting to do updates this past weekend, especially since I finally got some free time for the first time in ages... :irked:

What happened was a spammer had taken control of one of my host's servers. They supposedly bogged down the hard drive with processes so much that it basically got fried. After a few days of sorting out the problem and moving accounts, they finally got my account back online yesterday.

I spoke to the server tech on the phone last night, and we agreed that the easiest thing for both of us was for me to restore one of the site backups I created. I'm down to one backup every two weeks, so the most recent one was from the 10th of December. (I apologize, all posts and PMs made after this date were wiped out.) I spent most of today uploading the backups from work, which took forever because the FTP kept timing out after uploading 10-12 MB of files, forcing me to repeat the process over and over...

Tonight I've set up the databases so most of the site functions should be working again. Of course, the trade hosting account management pages are offline, so I'll try to tackle them in the next day or two. Bear with me, and please inform me if anything else is broken.

Thanks, Scott. I'm sure I echo everyone when I say thank you and how much we appreciate all of the personal time, effort (and I'm sure finances) that you put into this site. I didn't realize how much I enjoy being a member here until everything crapped out without notice and I was locked out for a few days. So again, thank you for all you do. (And all of the others who keep this running as well). If you find out the person responsible, pass the address along. I have friends with Napalm............... ;)
