What do you guys think about making a new forum where we review the bootlegs that recently were treed previously and traded? Its always good to hear feedback and also good info for traders who might be interested in the show.

I think that it's a good idea but we would run into problems because there are just so many of them. I think (as far as Van Halen bootlegs go) we should collectively work on completing www.vhboots.com. As for other bands I'm sure that the bigger ones have bootleg review sites similar to vhboots and we should do our part there as well. I just think it would get overwhelming if we put it all on one site.

I also just noticed that the audio boots and video boots section of this site are terribly incomplete, perhaps we should start there.

Just my two cents

I agree we should get our house in order first, but I dont see the problem in posting a few reviews either.

When it comes to doing reviews on Van Halen boots Ron does an EXCELLENT job on www.vhboots.com ... If your talking about doing review on other bands then this idea wouldn't be too bad of an idea...Ory :thumb:

Agreed Ron does an awesome job, but it is mainly audio on his site, very few VH DVDs. It would be nice to see some reviews of video footage too.

Can't we toss info his way? If you have something to say about a bootlegs i'm sure he'll include it (time permiting of course)

I agree too but perhaps in the same forum we should list other band references similar to vhboots. I know Black Sabbath has one and so does Rainbow and I'm positive there are others. But I think that reviewing the less popular ones would be a fantastic idea. God knows I wish that some of the shows I've gotten had better reviews.

Definitely, but didnt necessarily mean the DVD reviews should be at vhboots, they could be anywhere really including here. I certainly didnt mean that as criticism towards Ron, I'm sure he has his hands full covering the audio side without pressure from us video guys.

Maybe Scott could expand the Video Boots section here to include reviews and more info. I've entered some info on there myself, but have found it hard to squash alll the info into the space available.

The problem with VHBOOTS.com is that people tend to think that the stuff you see there just magically appears somehow.

That is not the case.

The DVDs that I have listed are the ones that I've taken the time to put up myself.

I've said it many times over the years. If you don't see it listed, that means that no-one has taken the time to submit a listing.

Well with the help of many i started updating the video boots section a couple of months ago....but scott installed a new software to make it easier to update, but the server crash a couple of weeks ago caused the instructions to be lost...but i will get back at it when i get the info....

i will handle the VH, Roth Solo and Hagar Solo DVD Lists.

the VH DVD/VIDEO List is updated better than it ever was...so that post above is incorrect saying it was horribly out of date......Roth Solo and Hagar Solo DVD Lists...soon to follow.

feel free once the lists are complete to add set lists...there is space for them in the new software spread sheet i believe....

reviews are cool, doesnt interest me....but im sure it would be helpful to those wondering what the boots are like.

my 2 cents....

I would find audio CDR information on Van Halen related artists like DLR & Sammy solo to be informative. Ron's site is great for VH stuff but it would be helpful to expand it if he so desires.
