Just wanna share my thoughts of this tour, especially Champaigne, Illinois. Did anyone see this? Well, Let's just say it was, uh, well, interesting???!!!
I have seen VH 20 times since the 1984 show. I saw them 4 times on this tour & this by far was THE WORST!! Eddie was as drunk as I had ever seen him. Really spaced out & he played horrible. The sound in the arena was horrible.
Ok, the strangest part of all was when Ed was doing his solo & he closed his eyes & a six inch snot string came hanging out of his nose, & I mean 6 inches!! So he's playiing right, swaying back & forth while this digusting snot blob is hanging & swinging. He was playing for seemed like a couple minutes, still not knowing this thing is there. The audience was all looking at each other grossing out, when all of a sudden, he opened his eyes, realized what was there & then sniffed it back up his nose!! all six inches!! No tissue, nothing!! haha
It was really surreal & strange & disgusting. Anyway he was so spaced he didn't even blink an eye. Sitting up close by the stage, I definately got a "birds eye view" & it was gross.
I guess our guitar hero is human after all!! hehehe
m I also went to Dallas, Buffalo, & Fort Wayne, IN.
Anyway, The Dallas show, in my opinion was the best!! They were smokin! It was as good as the 1984 show with Roth & I mean great!! Ed was totally sober & it made all the difference in the world. They were all on fire not missing a note.
Buffalo was good. Fort Wayne was so-so. He drank at that one so he was a little out of it again. Don't mean to bag on him. I love the guy, but I wish he would stay sober- he is so talented. Anyway, I am outta here!! ;) |
