I jusr want to clear up some possible confusion about how the award are going to work....

Maybe I didnt explain how this is going to work well enough initially but.... I think several of you have got the wrong idea about the nominations. The nominations are just that, nomiating people or things to go into the actual poll later on.... the nonimations are not the actuall awards poll its self. With nominations, you only really need one nomination for each different nominee. Yet I see people nominating the same thing 10 times (ie Napalm as DVD Boot of the Year). I'm just looking for different nominees..... then I will set up the actual awards poll in about a weeks time.

Also can I remind everybody that these are the 2005 Awards I see some nominees who have done some great work for VHT in the past but have done very little in 2005. Please dont vote for your all time favorite, thats not what the awards are about.

I know we are a way into 2006 now, but if these awards are a sucess then hopefully we can run them again next year. if so I think we should run them in January from then on.

However I am really pleased to see so many people getting involved, thanks for your time + thoughts :thumb: It has made me realise just how many great tallented people we have in our midsts. In a sense we have a little cottage industry here with filmers, archivists, restorators, authors, artists, distributors and collectors all working together.

Cheers,
Chris.

Chris, I see what you mean, how many people are needed for each catagory?

What about putting up a rough draft from the response already, then people can see what the short falls are, then only post to fill those positions, untill there is enough?

Just an idea?

A minimum of 3 nominees are needed per category. I like your idea of a rough draft but I dont have time to do it right now. I will probably leave it now and do all the hard work on Friday which is my day off.

Thanx,
Chris.

Ah, I think I read this as stating each nominee needed 3 votes to be considered.
