Those guys sounded pretty good. Saw them at the 6/22 NJ show.

After reading the interview, I wonder when things got bad with VH? I know Silvertide did the early portion of the tour and by the sound of things, spirits with VH seemed good. I wonder what exactly happened that divided the waters, so to speak...and when it happened too. Probably never know...but still would be interesting.

Amazing!

An insider from the 2004 tour that actually had something nice to say about Ed...

Quote: Eddie was all about just having a good time. I didn't get one serious conversation with Eddie Van Halen the entire tour. He was mostly just a bundle of fun to be around. He was just confident, 'Hey, let's have a drink, a toast, let's have this.' He was a really, really fun guy."

Although... I suppose you could read some things into this.

Like...

"I didn't get one serious conversation with Eddie Van Halen the entire tour... because he was always too fucking drunk to hold a decent conversation."

He was just confident, 'Hey, let's have a drink, a toast, let's have this.' The motherfucker was constantly drinking!

Maybe the young guy is being smart and not talking shit about Eddie because he doesn't want to burn any bridges to future opportunities...

I ddin't get to see them open for VH. Shinedown opened the two VH shows that I saw.

I heard they were a good band, very good sound. I'll check 'em out.

I don't think Silvertide was the right opening band in my opinion. It was blues rock, and not hard rock like VH. I would have rather seen a band closer related to VH open up.
