Are you guys aware of the current rumors circulating that Sammy and Dave or supposendly talking to the brothers about a tour!!!???
Not to mention Ed is coming out of his closet and recently played July 19th at his girlfriends place, "House of Petals"
And fuck...Ed actually looked really good!!!!
I think it may be 5150 x2 time!!!! |

| I don't know, I don't really think it would work and it probably wouldn't last long either before it imploded. It's hard enough with 2 ego's, but a third. At this point in time I would want to see a full blown reunion with Dave. I've already seen Sammy and Gary era VH, I've seen Dave and Sammy solo, so the only thing left to fulfill my life would be to see the original VH. I do kick myself for missing the 2004 tour but judging by the bootlegs, I don't really think I missed much. |

| I was just thinking about this ... I hadn't heard anything recently ... I had heard about this back in 2001/2002 and then obviously there was the Dave/Sammy tour in 2002 ... is this something more recent? I wonder if it is old news being rehashed and something that appears new when really it is old. |

How long would this last? Let's see. Eddie hates Dave. Dave and Sam hate each other. Sammy said he wanted to punch EVH in the face at the end of the last tour. Dave calls MA "the bass player." Dave may have f*&^#$ Alex's wife back in the day.
Am I forgetting anyone or anything?

Now I am thinking....with Dave doing the "county-style" tunes...and Ed playing with Kenny Chesney...maybe they are gonna try to go country and get those fans....that "progressive country" is still popular...Ed would just have to get Dave to step it up a bit...you know...drop the washboards and flutes! :D ...I just dont know where Sammy would fit in....maybe the part of the bootlegger?

It seems the "talks" and rumors always begin when nothing is really happening. Did the bank dry up so quickly after the 2004 tour? Dont get me wrong, I'd love to see the tour if it happened, but 1 big question is how would VH sound with Dave at the helm? His solo shows lately are quite scary. I think we'd be better off just watching a dvd of a show from 20 years ago instead of trying to re-create what VH was.
It may become that unhappy moment when the songs are played a little bit slower, and "backup" players / singers are on stage to hit the harmonies.
Besides, who wants to see dave with the spandex today anyway :eek: :eek: :eek:
Oh and Kent, I pray that the recent country appearances are just a fluke, EVH plays w/ Kenny, DLR helps on "Srtummin w/ the Devil", dog and cats playing together, mass hysteria. It would be the end of the world as we know it, and I WON'T FEEL FINE.
