Thanks to the generosity of TwoFoolsAMinute, all those snail mail traders like me can now enjoy this wonderful set he put together back in April.

Here are his notes on sources:

This is all of the circulating demos in the latest and greatest quality as of April 12, 2006. The only editing I did to these from their existing form is to normalize volume on all tracks. Early demos and Warner Demos are JS Remasters, Gene Simmons demos are from Zero and Wooda's copy of master tape. Pasadena Rehearsals from Wooda's copy of master tape. WACF demos remastered by Pumpkihn for the Old Testament Box Set. 1984 Sessions from Lou's low gen tape. Bonus tracks from various sources.

The standard tree rules apply. Please see: http://www.vhtrading.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10543

Remember back when the Looney Tunes/UnCDs came out and everyone thought it was great to have all these rare tracks and demos in one place? Well, IMO, The Demography has topped that in a big way. I found the set to be very listenable and enjoyable. Many thanks to everything that had a hand in finding the material and putting it together. I highly recommend it.

I actually bought the 'Looney Tunes' set before I knew of this sight. At the time I was just 'pumped up' to find some unreleased VH stuff but this sounds like a MUST HAVE set. Thank you to all involved! :thumb:

Ron and dokkendude,

I kinda had a feeling that would be the case. That's why I wanted to get a copy and thought it would be worth spreading.

For me, the demos (especially the unreleased songs) and the songs that VH played live (like Down In Flames) that weren't on records are what I listen to most and why I collect.

IMHO the live shows tend to sound very similar on most tours (w/ the exception of FW) - meaning show to show on a particular tour. I usually only listen to the best sounding shows from each tour unless there's something unique in a show (the playing in Greensboro '81 or song choice in Providence '81 for ex.).

Thank you for confirming my suspicion. Now I can't wait to hear 'em!

Regards,

Bill

PS- also wanted to post to let people know this was still open after the two days down
