Try to not be so critical of things for starters....saying that you "have been here for a year" and actually "being here for a year" are 2 different things to me....if you have "been here for a year"....why have you not been posting since last November?

metalsludge, if anything the 30 posts requirement may be a little generous. While I appreciate all of what anyone has done, no matter how small, there has to be "balance" of requirements that could cover most people. In hypothetical examples, some people may love to talk everyone's figurative ears off and rack up posts but may not seed trees and torrents. Others may create artwork or be branches in trees but rarely give an informative or helpful post. There's no clear-cut way to neatly define everyone's way of giving back to the community. So, I figured that a minimum of 30 posts would be a decent average of people who have been here on the forums long enough to gain entry. I just don't want any old schmoe to sign up, make a few posts, leech all they can off of the torrents, and split. |
