I was wondering how many of you bought the 2 Disc best of VH set. I think it's a given we own at least 99 percent of the studio work of Van Halen. Did any of you buy it for the few new songs, or "borrow" the new songs from someone? I personally did not buy it, there is no use paying 20+ bucks for a few new songs.

I got it the first day it came out for $12 I think.

I really like "It's About Time", but the other two I like a lot less.

The last copy of the set I bought was just last week. This was an attempt (failed) to get a copy with the new artwork: http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/6279/vanhalentheverybestofde6.jpg
Off the top of my head, I think I own 7 copies at the moment.

I did buy it! I wanted to own everything they have, the 3 new tunes made it worth the purchase for me. I hate when groups stick a few extra tunes on a greatest hits package however, for Van Halen I quit my complaining and buy it. Call me a "homer" but after all it is Van Halen. To be honest I do like the 3 new tracks, my favorite being "learning to see"

I bought it the day it came out. There is no way there is going to be a Sammy Hagar or Van Halen cd I dont own! Especially if it has new songs on it! I liked all of the new songs. Learning to See was my favorite (although it sounded like it wouldve been something Sammy did solo, not w/ VH)

BTW Dirq Van... what are all of those unreleased songs you mentioned? Ive heard of a couple of them, but are they ALL unreleased VH songs? If so which ones are w/ Sammy? & is there a boot cd with them on it?

I bought it for the new songs, and the remastering of the Sammy era.

Uh no...... I'm not a huge "Greatest Hits" fan. If I love a band that much, I already own the catalogue.
