How about nobody else ever taking Dave's place because Sammy singing Panama, Jump & ATBL made me sick!! I don't want to even think about Gary singing classic VH and thankfully I didn't see that tour when it came through Cleveland in '98.
Radikal, please don't misunderstand my response because I'm not slamming on your post. My point and my feelings are that I simply don't want to see anyone else EVER again in the VH lead singer role except Dave. If they are to reform and that's a MIGHTY BIG IF, it should be w/only Dave. What's left of their legacy should be closed out w/Dave singing, in my opinion.
If they get into the Rock Hall on the coming ballot, it will be mighty interesting to see who they perform a song with. Here in Cleveland where the much maligned Rock Hall sits, our only major paper The Plain Dealer has a story on VH in today's edition and how they've been eligible for three years and maybe this year is their year. |

I agree.......fans of CVH need closure. 1996 was just a tease..... :p
Even if this rumored 2007 tour is a total flop on all levels.....it needs to be done. I wish it could be with all 4 original members, but if not....so be it.
One last hurrah for the Mighty Van Halen........... :D |

My recollection is that they (Jonas) played one good song during their 1/2 hour set. Unlike Silvertide who I didn't like at all.

| Anybody catch Deanna Johnston from Rockstar: INXS? She'd be a great frontwoman for VH if that's what it came to. I pretty much agree with Iron Mike, tho. Let's please just get them back together with Dave and be done with it. |

I was wondering who you guys would see fronting Halen excluding Hagar,DLR and Cherone....If they came to a situation of choosing new singer??
I would see Jonas as a perfect candidate with his stage presence and rockin Style...
He also has a great rockin voice :thumb:
Jonas is good- but not of a VH Frontman.
His Style is all over the place. His New Album is good- Rockin, but not like the 1st.
This New Album " Suite Life " sounds experimental on alot of the tracks.
Not Quite on the Straight and Narrow of Rock....
I'm sure it will sound better live :thumb: |
