After viewing two 2004 bootlegs,Sunrise Fla and N.J. Meadowlands I am under the complete impession that Eddie and Dave are the longtime friends they have always been. Its hard to believe that they took different planes for traveling on tours because they hated each other.Either there is some bullshit going on in there conflicting stories they tell(E.V.H and Sammy) on how they hated each other during the tour, or when it comes down to money faking friendship and being a whore is something easily done. As for M.A. I did get the feeling that Eddie wanted no part of him on stage.I will certainly get more 2004 shows in the future to see if my claim holds.

I don't know what really went down, but they did seem to keep personal issues out of the shows. I haven't seen all that many boots from 2004, but one instance I did witness was in Chicago on the first night. Eddie had some technical difficulties from the end of his solo throughout the rest of the show. Eddie was visibly frustrated, and at one point Sammy says to f**k it, it sounds good. The show was fine, but I got the feeling the train could derail at any second.

I was at one of the NJ shows, it got sort of uncomfortable listening to eddie talk about his cancer and his doctor. I got the feeling that all was not well with eddie.

I saw both the Cleveland and C-Bus shows.... I didn't see evid of friendship or difficulty. What I heard, however, was some really crappy playing by EVH.

After hearing all the stories after the 04 tour, then re- viewing the 04 shows, I felt like I noticed more friction than I had during the time of the tour. They did keep it pretty professional though, but there was friction at times.

I just hope we don't come to find out later that this 2007 tour has the same friction, behind the scenes.

I made some purchases from one of the bus drivers on tour. I asked him about the rumors seperate busses seperate back stage rooms he said everyone is true... but the differences are put aside for 1.5mil / show.

Take it for what it's worth.

A bunch of bands do that though. I know for a fact that Aerosmaith and the Rolling Stones do it all the time. You have to remember they are not kids anymore and probably like there privacy. They wouldn't have that "It's us against the world" attitude anymore. If they are putting on a good show, I dont see any problems with it.

There is a boot for early in the tour (2004), where Eddie says into the mike that he is glad to have Mike and Sammy in his life again. I cant remember which show it is, but he did say it..... but, as I said, it was early in the tour and he was probably drunk. :D :p ;)
