Admittedly this would obviously be the best site to get them but your rules are not for me.

I can understand why Ory would get miffed. Sites like these do not function unless there are those giving AND receiving. If everyone toopk all they could get without ever giving anything back, would any of us be where we are now as traders?

I'm not stiring the $hit...just letting it be known to the newer members that it all comes down to building a reputation as well as a collection. Karma can make your day or kick ya in the @ss.....but it is ALWAYS your decision.

That could explain the flux of new members...which is always a good thing.

What I wish someone would explain is why the testy attitudes against this site? You would think with a possible new tour people could put aside petty differences and focus on what this could actually bring about; a fantastic tour, possibly some new material and in turn new shows to share. That's all that should matter to any of us.

Your right this is vhtrading and not vhtorrenting.

We are just starting to take the next step forward on the torrent stuff... It's not much but we are trying our hands on it... What we are trying to do is offer torrents for our valued members and not the hit n run people who will D/L what they want and go to never be seen or heard of from... Our focus is torrenting stuff that isn't offered anywhere else for our valued members to have first crack at it.. After that it can be traded or torrent somewhere else.

We have not chased anyone away and if a newbie doesn't make the requirements for something they can always trade for a copy.. They just need to ask around... I personally haven't traded in years because I have no time for it but I have sent out a bunch of stuff to people without asking for anything in return... People do it for me now and never ask me for anything but if they need something I'll do my best to hook them up without asking for anything.

A while back people were joining here just to get the artwork so they can have artwork with the DVDs they sold on Ebay... If we leave the torrents up for everybody or the tree's for everybody who just sign up how much of that will we see on Ebay... In the 2004 tour we had 200+ people sign up for the 2 mega trees we had here... there was no requirements back then.. In weeks the stuff we had on the trees were on Ebay with the artwork we created.

I have nothing against newbies because I was there once too... The more you put into the site the more you will get out of it... How many of us started with nothing joining here and have a nice collection now.. People here are great and if your patient you will be rewarded..Back then there was no torrents and people had to actually work to get what they wanted but now everybody expects everything by just a few clicks of the mouse.

What I respected is at least Quaxtro was honest.

Very well said Frank, so true for most if us. But we have to remember that we have to educate the Newbies on how things work around here and not get our back up when they get frustrated. I think for the most part we have done that. If the Newbies truly want to be a part of our small group here they will stick around.

If you want to have some good conversation, make a few trades, come and hang out but if you just wanna grab the goods and bolt ... please don't even come in the door, OK?

i've said this before and i will say it again,i've met lots of great people here and after a while,it feels like home you know"very comfortable" but stick for a while.thanks Frank for what you said :cool:

ive only DL'd one torrent, the EVH NAMM show, and ive lef tit open so others can DL it and also so i can upload back what ive downloaded but it seems no one is leeching it...i qould really love to DL the Sammy Hagar Sturgis 2 DVD show but it sems since my ratio isnt upo there, that im unable to

Yeah, it seems like that could be an issue, if you are Seeding something no on e is downloading you'll have a hard time keeping your ratio up. Maybe try Torrenting something new, if you can, but otherwise just keeping a window open is the best some can do. It is hard.

I just want to tell you , I think you guys are great. As a newbie, you took me in.............member the whole 5.10.86 thing :dance: Liquidaz (wes) went above and beyond for me when it came to trading. vhlive helped me with the whole 86 show (got it now) . I don't remember who is involved in the whole balance ppv jump show, but even though you didnt use my copy, you made me feel pretty important for a while:D .
