Why does that surprise you? This site is called vhtrading after all.
We tell people not to buy bootlegs on eBay, and then when they show up for free stuff, we chase them away. We tell people to come here so they can trade, and then when newbies start posting for shows, a lot of them are ignored. I don't get it. And people here wonder why there are still buyers purchasing bootlegs on eBay. |

I can understand why Ory would get miffed. Sites like these do not function unless there are those giving AND receiving. If everyone toopk all they could get without ever giving anything back, would any of us be where we are now as traders?
I'm not stiring the $hit...just letting it be known to the newer members that it all comes down to building a reputation as well as a collection. Karma can make your day or kick ya in the @ss.....but it is ALWAYS your decision. |

The fact is that I'm not a hugh VH fan. Just a casual fan. Most sites are happy to let you download torrents so long as you upload AT LEAST what you downloaded. I have a lot of bandwidth so uploading and sharing torrents certainly wouldn't be a problem for me.
However you website dictates that you must share in the discussions for a minimum amount of relevant posts before getting access to the torrents.
Since I do not really have anything to say about VH that's not going to happen.
There are other sites on the internet where I can download VH without discussing anything, so my interests are best served there.
Admittedly this would obviously be the best site to get them but your rules are not for me.

This Site is not a Torrent Site ... in the likes of Dime, Traders Den or JTT. This is a trade site, which just so happens to also have a Torrent section. But it is primarily a trade site. We want people to come here and create relationships, friendships and yes the occasional Torrent is fine but if you just come for the Torrents and never interact ... then what's the point. It's like me saying, "Hey, can I come over to your house and drink all your beer and eat all your food, oh, but I don't want to talk to you at all, just leave me alone while I eat and drink."
If you want to have some good conversation, make a few trades, come and hang out but if you just wanna grab the goods and bolt ... please don't even come in the door, OK? |
