I'll bite and join in on these polls that I love to much because I really enjoy reading everyone's post/thoughts/opinions.
What was the first rock type poster you hung on your wall?
Mine was the poster of the group Styx that came inside The Grand Illusion album.
Please post. I am really curious to read what everyone's was.. :thumb: |

A 1974 pull-out poster from Look-In magazine of Queen. My Mum banned me from putting it on the wall cos Freddy had painted nails (a la Sheer Heart Attack front cover)
Ist VH poster was the WACF tour poster I bought from the Birmingham 21/6/80 gig....which I still have somewhere in the loft.

I can't remeber exactly but it think it was of Gene Simmons! I can still see it in my mind, it was right around the time of the KISS alive II release it was just a full shot of him from the front row looking up. He had the scowl on his face and his arms raised. I loved that poster.
OK I just read my post back....a little to much information. |

| I think it was the VH poster sold during the 1980 tour (the 4 of them in separate pics with the logo in the middle). Since that was my first show ever, it's a good bet that was the first one I bought. |

I don't really know what was my first, but 3 of my first were:
That Gigantic Led Zeppelin Poster (something like 60"x48")
& The same sized Gigantic Rush Poster.
Plus I was about 12 when I bought a full sized poster of Plant holding that dove in his hand on stage. |

| For me it was the booklet inside of KISS Alive album. I had all the pages separated and stucked them on the wall. Now I wish I hadn't done that... |

| I cant remember if it was my first....but it was one of the first. I used to work at a record store years and years ago......late 70's early 80's.....and I took home the window poster for Molly Hatchet's Flirtin With Disaster... it was about 4ft X 8 ft I believe. Had it hung in my parents basement for years in my weight room area down there, until Mom did some spring cleaning one year and it disappeared. I was highly upset........... |

| Mine was a Van Halen poster shot on the Diver Down tour. I sent away for it from an ad in Circus Magazine in late '83. |

Ya if i knew then what i know now............i would have been down at all the VH early gigs :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: I would have offered ED $500 for his first guitar(autographed ) and i would have bought whatever new one he wanted.
Dad didn't alow us to hang posters. Not that he didn't like them just it made holes in the wall. Didn't have any when i was a kid but my sister had some cool ones that came with the albums. Albums were way cooler than CDs. Remember they used to put stickers and things in them. That was in the day when they were not out to suck every penny possible out of each release and they'd through a few give aways in there. |
