| We were told on the tour by the all access people that no official DVD would be released. I am sceptical as there is so much footage from the feeds to the screen that you think it would make sense  |

The footage is there no doubt about it but the problem is The content of the footage is nothing to brag about or even worth creating for retail :irked: |

I know what you are saying but it would just be nice to have some quality pro shot from the tour for sentimental reasons :( I am sure they could jazz it up with some fancy editing :D |

The Who on their current US tour is selling DVDs of each night's shows through their website. The video is exactly as you surmised...taken from what was shown on the video screens behind the stage with some slight changes when the stage screens would show something from the band's past. It was just a document of the band on a given night, warts and all. I've seen one of these and its pretty good. I like the raw feel of being there instead of a heavily edited and remixed official release that comes out months or years later. The production isn't perfect but a nice document of the evening. It would be nice if VH could do the same. |

Now see....this is what we disscussed a couple of years ago....if them old f-r's can do this....so could other bands....this is some great news to me....when other bands see or hear about this....you can bet that they will want to offer the same thing....I opinion is that if you have a copy of my performance...you are gonna show it to more than just yourself....so the fan base gets bigger...and so what if somebody makes a copy for their friends....who should care...a rough bootleg copy...to be able to win over a new fan possibly....if only I could go out and purchase customers for my stores....I would be out chasing down every car on the road....just hoping that they would become a new customer and int he case of the band....a new fan....I was happy when Pearl Jam just let you buy the mp3 of their concert....you got to download it the same night you saw it....that was great...but a video of the show you went to....that is like selling an extra ticket each time....

| Due to the lack of "official" Van Halen video or dvd over the years you really think they would milk it to the max if it was all about money and release the Dvd. I am with you Kent,if they get the product out it is like selling that extra ticket and a nice momento for the fans :thumb: |
