On a related note.
I've got a few VCD's that I'd like to convert to DVD (MPEG 2).
Will I see ANY improvement in picture quality?
The VCD quality is not bad at all, but I'd like to convert it so it's a little easier to trade with others in that format.

No, none. Can't add what's not there. :) |

Roger,
Dont even bother unless picture quality is flawless... The video was compressed when it was made into a vcd and putting that on DVD will be the same as on vcd..Ory :thumb: |

There GREAT quality, but alot of people give me the same response like "oh if it's VCD than its not that great of quaity" etc...

| Your going from a VCD thats 352X240 to DVD 720X480... The video was compressed to VCD and now your going to try to stretch out the video to DVD format... If it was a SVCD it would be ok and I'm not saying you can't do it cause I have done it before but you will some quality... Give it a shot...Ory :thumb: |

Guys a superior version of this was done anyway on DVD by Digital Reproductions.

The cool thing is that there are .shn files of the video soundtrack embedded on the DVD if you want to burn audio CD's of this for yourself. |
