Hi,
I've got this 3 min segment of "I'm so Glad" (in smgmad)
its shot from the "pit" area
whats interesting about this clip is that the riser out in front of the stage goes up and if you'll notice in the other 82 vids that it goes "down"
also, ed is wearing some vertical striped overalls and mike is playing his wdfa blood bass and is wearing an orange shirt.
I've checked the argentina and sao paulo, largo vids and its not them.
quality is not great, mostly in b&w...either bad transfer or someone gave out the clip and sabotaged it...
any ideas?

Sounds very much like it is from Caracas, Venezuela - Jan. 16th 1983. This is a pro-shot single camera recording, half is shot from the balcony and half from the pit looking upwards to the stage. Ed does indeed wear red and white striped overalls and Mike has an orange shirt on. The running time of my recording is 59 mins and contains the following no's.

Drum Solo
Everybody Wants Some
Dance the Night Away
Somebody Get Me a Doctor
Ed/Al jam/I'm So Glad
Ice Cream Man
Intruder/Pretty Woman
Guitar Solo
Aint Talkin Bout Love
Bottoms Up
YRGM/Happy Trails

Some tracks are incomplete and Somebody Get Me a Doctor appears twice, filmed once from the balcony and later the pit. There are also a few points where the audio cuts out. Never the less it is a really cool boot, the big close ups on Eds solo are great.

Sounds like you have a bad copy if it is mostly B&W, my copy occasionally looses colour and suffers from a few standards conversion glitches (as it is PAL) but the colour holds for most of the time.

Hope that helps,
Chris.

BTW, on the subject of South America, does anyone out there have a copy of the VH Montevideo, Uruguay 5th Feb 83 TV pro-shot? if so is it any good?
