| Thank You everyone for your very warm welcome, and thanks for all your help, etc.. I am pretty new to the site and still digging my way through it. The information and resources are great, however the community of humans seems to be even greater!! A BIG Thank You to Kent for helping me get started here, the dude has gone way out of his way to hook me up! Incredible!!! I am trying to locate a good burner to install at my home, and once done I would like to also help any other newbies , in any way I can. |

Yup!! You're right on that one vh15!! I absolutly agree with you because we kinda fell like a little family here... We watch for everyone's back, we make sure that no one gets caught with bad traders and a lot of "oldies" are willing to give us newbies some free shows...
Isn't that great? I think so!
Thanks to all!
love,

Totally agree. I've had multiple people offer me disks just to get me started, with nothing asked in return.
I mentioned in a PM to someone else that I've been a VH fan since about 1980, when I was 14 years old. I remember being at a buddy's house and checking out his copy of a brand-new VH1 album, but I wasn't really into it at the time (come on, I was 12). I saw VH in 1984 at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, and it remains the only time I've ever seen VH live.
So, all of these years I've been hoping that DLR and VH would reunite, to no avail. I remember when DLR was onstage with Eddie and the boys for some MTV awards show, and the rumor was that they were going to reunite. I noticed Eddie's body language, and the way he was looking at Roth as he was doing his schtick, and I said to my buddy "No way are they getting back together". They didn't.
So, all of these years waiting for something to happen, with no results. For some reason, I decided to do a Google search for VH boots, and I wound up here. I've never traded boots, I didn't even own any. Within about two weeks, wjamflan (Bill) hooked me up with a slew of boots, and asked for nothing in return.
So, I'm driving in my Tahoe last weekend, listening to one of the disks, and I almost (but not quite) got a little choked up. VH with DLR, imo, was the best rock band ever. LListening to Eddie play "Cathedral" just killed me. Now I realize that I don't necessarily need them to get back together, because it won't be the same anyway.
But, there are hundreds of boots that can (and will) take me back to the old DLR/VH days, and I can't wait to hear the rest of them.
Thanks to all for taking me back. |

| Nice post. I also like to go back in time to when the "mighty van halen" ruled the world. Let's hope Ed gets better and they hit the road in the near future. |
