Hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone has the complete 2004 tour on FLAC format and would like to do a trade?
I would like to get as many if not all 2004 audio's but in FLAC format on dvd. I would love to just have a few dvds with all the shows on them rather than tons of CD's
I've been very quiet on the trade front since the 2004 tour but if someone has this and would like to set something up with me I'd greatly appreciate it.
Also if time permits I might be able to setup a tree after.
Anyone else interested in something like this?
I have all of the 2000 and 2003 pearl Jam shows in this format burned on dvd. Its much easier than digging through all my cd's. |

Jason, I would help you. However, at the moment I only have 7 shows in FLAC. I have much more than that. I am in the process of converting all my shows (some 1500) to FLAC. Right now I have 400 shows in FLAC/SHN (most are new shows) However, with the constant trading I do, that project has kind of gone on the backburner. I am sure someone else has more than I do that could FLAC them for you. If not, I'd be happy to do it once I can find time to get everything converted.

| I also don't think every show is out there, or am I wrong? I think you can probably get 95% of them but I think you'll be missing a few here and there. |

Thanks guys,
It's not something that i'm a big rush for its just that I'm getting tired of storing so many cd's I was thinking of a way I could condense all of my shows.
Neil what are you using to convert all your shows to FLAC? I think that is something I should start doing. I have tons of shows that I don't listen to that are just collecting dust. It would be much easier for me to convert them all to FLAC put them on an external hard drive and dvd's.
If you have any pointers i'd love to hear them.

I'm not Neil but what I use is Traders Little Helper ... I highly recommend it, that and FLAC Frontend ... I'm considering downloading dbpoweramp but TLH is a great, great tool everyone should check out! |

I use dbpoweramp. It is real simple to use for this. Takes about 6-8 min per disc. Frank, how long does TLH take?

I like that idea but I think it is also imprtant to mention if the FLAC/SHN files you have are master files or if you took an audio CDR and ripped it a created the FLAC/SHN file from the rip. If that makes any sense. |

Difficult to say, I understand dbpoweramp both rips and encodes whereas TLH only encodes/decodes it does not rip. I use EAC to rip and then TLH to encode or decode. It also depends on whether you are using FLAC Level 8 or FLAC Level 5. Unfortunately I don't think I can answer your question. Sorry. |

That's exactly what I use. I'm in the process of backing up my store-bought cd's with the above method. The time it takes depends on many factors, such as number of tracks ripped, EAC settings, etc. TLH does a great job of encoding. It will also encode/decode to shn and ape. It includes other useful tools like audio file testing, md5 creation/verification, etc. I haven't used flac frontend since I discovered TLH. Also when I encode to flac I use the default level 6; I've read that anything above level 6 doesn't provide any real benefits. |

dbpoweramp is great. I really don't understand what all this ripping and encoding means. I just tell it what files to convert and where to put them and bingo I have my flac files. As far as the VH shows go, I'll have to sit this one out, since I don't really keep track of what I have converted and what I got in flac to begin with. Maybe once this runs it course I'll trade for whatever VH shows I don't have.
