I'm looking for a team of people to write for the VH Trade site. Articles, reviews, guides, it doesn't matter; if you think the subject matter would be informative and a great read to site visitors, by all means go for it.
Details:
A writer wouldn't be stuck to any specific time table. If you would only like to write once a month or once a year, that's fine. Our goal is to get a large team of writers; the more people we have writing stuff, the more consistent the output of material would be on the site.
The topics you can write about? Anything you feel would be beneficial and entertaining to traders, collectors, computer users, techies, audiophiles, and video and music fans. The subject matter can include:
DVD authoring
Burner and Drive Reviews
Hardware reviews and comparisons
Software reviews
Bootleg reviews and comparisons of shows
Tips on how to record live shows
Artwork and graphics creation
Old reminiscings of going to record shows, record stores, or where ever and finding bootlegs and/or imports
The state of the music industry
Other miscellaneous "how-to" guides on a multitude of subjects
Every article or review be well-researched, balanced, and thorough.
Author must have excellent written skills and must be able to express themselves in an informative yet down-to-earth and easy-to-understand manner.
Extensive website and web application (such as writing a weblog) experience and basic HTML skills nice but not required.
Author also must be a fairly well-known trader and/or member of the VH internet community with an excellent reputation in regards to trading and overall character.
I know there's a lot of intelligent, educated, and opinionated guys on these forums who know their shit. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me privately. Even if you're not sure, just give it a shot; we just might like reading the stuff you come up with. ;) |

| Hello Scott, I'd be up for doing concert reviews and maybe some writing on miscellaneous topics, if that fits into your scheme. I'm not a taper or a 'boots' author but I'm sure I could find a few relevent things to report on. The fact that the band is back together and touring, after nine years, should provide enough material to draw from. Drop me an e-mail and let me know how you feel. :thumb: |

| I'd be interested in doing bootleg reviews of shows from 1978-1984. |

| Everyone who had previously e-mailed me about being interested in this PLEASE e-mail me again. For some reason or another, one of my mailbox folders in OE had gotten corrupted (no viruses, I had already checked), and I lost ALL mails sent to scott@vhtrading.com since January 1. :furious: :furious: And for those of you who responded in this thread, please shoot me an e-mail as well so's I can keep better track of this. Thanks! |

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've decided the ditch the content management system (where everyone can log in and post articles) I've been working on. The reason is because I'm planning to convert this board from a UBB to a phpBB (because of improved speed and server resource issues). After I do so, I'm adding a content management system that will be more tightly integrated with the phpBB.
Therefore, we will be posting any articles the "old-fashioned" way: I'll upload each article one at a time. I'll give all writers access to the new forum (I'm sure you've been wondering what we're going to be doing with it) and we'll go through a quick review/approval process with each article. After the forums conversion and CMS installation, I'll show you guys how to use the software so that you won't have to wait for me to post stuff. |

| I've been using phpBB at another site and I think you'll like it. I'd be willing to submit some stuff, I'll e-mail you later. |

| I'd be willing to write. I think I'd be able to help with computer programs more than say how to tape a show properly |

Scott no longer deals day to day with the Forums. If you notice the Thread is 3 years old. Ory is our New Day to Day Admin and Scott still owns the site and runs thing behind the scenes making sure the bills get paid. Our Mod team has changed a bit as well over the last few months...Dirq Van, Radikal and Myself have been added as Moderators this year. Kennyr is still lurking in the background and blu is helping out with the rest of us. If you have any questions feel free to ask any one of us. PM is your best bet as a post might get missed.
Thanks
