Just a heads up in case anyone is interested. I'm cleaning more music gear and stuff out of my closet that never gets used anymore. This is a Tom Scholz Power Soak (amp attenuator/power brake) that is in great condition.

Hey Mike....
Ummm......this isn't an amp, buddy. It's a called a power soak that you can use with any high gain tube amp. It allows you to crank up the gain levels on your amp to get the tubes nice and hot (that's when tube amps sound their best)......the power soak acts as a "master volume control".......so you can have a nice, "saturated" and cranked tube amp sound without the loud volume that pisses off the neighbors....... :D |

Duohhh!!! my bad. As usual, I read too fast. I remember hearing about this thing many years back. Tom was always inventing stuff and looking for ways to make guitars and amps and gear sound better.
