Dave can go off and change his spandex or whatever and leave Ed, Wolfie, and Uncle Al on stage blasting away. I'd like to hear more of that kind of stuff like the brief instrumental version of Pleasure Dome on Live:RHRN.
My guess is Ed and Wolfie will do a lot together in the jam department, my only worry is with all the solos, Dave's raps and Ed praising wolfie all the time, there won't be a lot of time left for those classic vh songs... let's hope I'm completely wrong.
This might be very true since I presume Ed would want Wolfie to show the world the reason his Dad chose him....so that can well be a scenario  |

| One request I have for the tour is; in cases like Philly, Toronto and wherever else the band plays 2 nights in the same venue - change the setlist. Don't just change the order of the songs. I understand if they are going to do Unchained, Jump, Panama every night....but they can mix and match a lot of the other stuff so it doesn't have to be the same night in and night out. |

Didn't Dave mention in the press conference they were playing 25 songs on tour? I may be confusing it with something else...I'll have to re-watch. |

| Hopefully Dave will change his stage rap too. Anybody want to bet how long into the first show Dave says "Look at all the people here tonight!"? |

I think that covers it ;)
This would be more of what I hoped for..... No first act and just hop on stage and leave once youve played all songs from VH I to 1984......That would be the least they could give us after all these years of waiting and supporting them through all :D
I totally agree. That would be awasome
On the other hand there would be nothing to complain about songs not played :D :D :D |

Completely agree. Many of us here are going to several shows, and I think all bands could use a little spontaneity. Helps to keep the show fresh and bands off auto-pilot.
I agree about VH 1 through 1984 (but drop 'Dancing In The Streets'), but realistically songs they may or may not play:
I'm The One
On Fire
Bottoms Up!
Light Up The Sky
Beautiful Girls
In A Simple Rhyme
Sinner's Swing!
Hear About It Later
So This Is Love?
Hang 'Em High
The Full Bug
Top Jimmy
Drop Dead Legs
Girl Gone Bad
Wouldn't mind the SGMAD/I'm So Glad jam either... |

I agree would like to more jams in the middle of songs rather than the same old solo's. |

| I think here's some good chance of jams. We won't get new songs, but Ed, Al & Wolfie will jam out some new tunes in the making, I'll bet. Maybe as part of someone's solo or the end of a song. |

Its the deep cuts I'm after such as....
Atomic Punk
Beautiful Girls
In a Simple Rhyme
Sinners Swing
Hang Em High
Drop Dead Legs
A pre-Warners club days track would be awesome :thumb:
....but really they can play any CVH apart from I'll Wait (I always thought that track was lame) and I will be happy.
I can live without the drum and bass solos, but I expect they will still be in the set, just to give the other members of the band a break.
A bit of jamming as mentioned above would be great!
I definitely dont want to hear any DLR solo or any Hagar era stuff.... we've waited a long time for Dave to return, so I'm hoping for a pure CVH set list.
Chris. |
