| The people have spoken! What a waste of an opening band. I would have rather seen White Lion/Vito, Extreme, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue or any band remotely close musically to VH open up for them. I don't know who thought of that genius idea. It's like Lamb of God opening up for BB King, come on now. |

| The good thing about that crappy opener is that you can wait till they get off to buy your tickets from scalpers at low prices.... ;) |

I really don't care who opens for them. I go to see The main attraction VANHALEN.
When the opening band is on I go get a beer or T-shirt or somthing. I also like to
watch them set up the stage and see how excited people are getting because
VANHALEN is coming up.

| Montreal 1980 was "the cats" as opening act for V-H.It was boring.But V-H was awesome. |

Ya' mean VH fans aren't excited to see the 3rd most popular Marley (riight behind Ziggy) as an opener? Seems kinda like having one of the Baldwins in your movie. "Well, no, it's not Alec. Nope, not Daniel either. William? Sorry. Stephen? Well, no...it's the other brother, Zeppo. Wait - that's the Marx brothers.'

In 84 they had Autograph open up for them but they were a Rock A Billy band and got booed off the stage after 2 songs.
VH usually has crappy bands open up for them because they are probably afraid the opening band will blow them away.
Yes they remember what they did to Sabbath!!!!!! Doesn't really matter to me i'm just hoping for a date here. Closest is Minny 8 HRS down the road. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: |

While I'm not thrilled about a reggae opening act, I can't say it surprises me. As pointed out earlier, Dave era VH always seemed to have some eclectic acts tour with them.
I remember seeing Ziggy Marley open for INXS on the Kick tour, and that crowd was a little restless about reggae. It'll be interesting to see how a VH crowd is going to react. |
