Yep, it's official.....

Event has been postponed. Please check back for reschedule date.

Van Halen, originally scheduled to perform on Sunday, October 28th, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. An announcement regarding the rescheduled date is expected sometime in the near future. All tickets for the postponed date will be honored at the rescheduled performance. Refunds are also available at the original point of purchase.

:irked: Want to buy some St. Louis tix?....I think I may have some!!!....maybe what is going on is that Van Halen is trying to match exact days in St Louis for concerts with Sammy (Nov 14th).....that way the boys can all get together...kickback with a few brews & stories and laugh......grab some headlines....get some attention...stir up that drama thing....

or............

Could it be that Sammy now has more money than the VH brothers  ....and he is purposely undermining their efforts to undermine him? Sammy had his date set in his town of St Louis long before the bros. decided to come out and play.....and they just struggled to get that October date on their tour.......they needed it badly....to make an appearance in St Louis before Sammy would "teach that Sam I Am a thing or two....!! :sus: Little did the VH bros know that ole Sam-I-Am had enough money to just buy the town for a day....and run their punk asses out.....

So.....what about my "theory".....does it get a little traction??

Yeah, it's postponed. See www.scottradecenter.com

I hope "scheduling conflict" really is the simple truth.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't buy the "scheduling conflict" excuse.

How can it be a "scheduling conflict" when this show was scheduled, set in stone, and tickets sold for that performance over a month ago? It isn't as though they just woke up this morning and decided to suddenly play STL 10 days from now.

Especially when local radio was saying it was poor ticket sales...

The only thing that came to mind was that they got a better offer for something else that day. Like an appearance on an awards show, or a radio show, or...?

Seems like the 19 hour drive from St. Louis to Boston on the 30th was too much for the drivers. How the fuck could they have just realized this 10 before the concert? I am so pissed right now.

For what it's worth... someone posted this at the links :sus:

"This is a rumour so far. But at the Indy show, I met a couple of guys that knew the sound guy for EVH. He is the dude that sits on stage left, if you are facing the crowd, and runs the soundboard. I met this guy briefly and the guys that I met got backstage passes and were sitting by the soundboard during the show. I was in the 4th row.

Anyway, there are plans to record the Madison Square Garden show for a CD, and maybe a DVD. DLR wanted to rest his voice for the show. That is the reason for the St. Louis cancellation.

BTW, according to the sound guy, there will be a second leg that will include Pittsburgh.

Take it for what it is worth."

That doesn't make any sense. The MSG show is 7 shows after the St. Louis show... A better rumor is that VH will be on SNL the 27th, thus can't get back to St. Louis for the show the following night.

Assuming it makes it that far, yes, that rumor is true. A Jan date for Pittsburgh has been set for quite some time now...
