Do you know what colour of M&Ms not to serve Van Halen while they're on tour?
Can you name the band's first manager?
Or better yet, what is Eddie Van Halen's real name?
The Sun and Guitar Works are teaming up to give away a piece of rock history -- an amazing replica of Eddie Van Halen's original Fender Stratocaster guitar -- to the city's ultimate Van Halen fan.
One of only 300 made -- and one of six known to be in Canada -- the guitar, modelled after EVH's famous Frankenstrat, is replicated right down to the last scratch, said Sun marketing manager Ryan Popowich.
Fans can clip out the game card on Page 36 of today's Sun and, after answering three trivia questions, drop it off at the Sun or any of the three Guitar Works locations at 602 16 Ave. N.W., 830 Crowfoot Cres. N.W. or 7116 Macleod Tr. S.W.
A grand-prize winner will be drawn from 25 finalists prior to Van Halen's show on Dec. 7 at the Saddledome.
Along with the $25,000 guitar, Popowich said the winner will also receive two tickets to the concert, an autographed photo of Eddie Van Halen and a certificate of authenticity. |
