Not sure where this new bit o' news originated, but this was posted at the SHML this morning by owr very own Johnny:
"It's not 'official' yet, but VH will be performing at this year's MTV Music Awards. I heard it's being worked out whether they will open or close the show.
Maybe it will be 1996 all over again, and they will break up after the show."
If this is true, then it'd be nice to get a little preview of what's to come! |

EXCLUSIVE: Van Halen to appear at MTV music awards
Don't tell anyone, but Geno's World has discovered that the newly reformed Van Halen will be making a "surprise" appearance at the MTV music awards on September 9. Initial plans are for the band to perform a medley of classic VH tunes. But the band may just present an award. Everyone remembers the last time the reformed Van Halen with David Lee Roth appeared at the MTV awards in 1996. This appearance may turn out to be better.....

| I really hope they do perform at the MTV Video Awards. This will give a good preview of what to expect on this years tour. I think Motley Crue did the same thing in '97 when they reunited with Vince. |

Sept. 9th.
I just saw the link posted about them preforming. I didnt know it had been posted. I got my info from a friend of a friends brothers 2nd cousins mother-in-laws ex husbands new stepdaughters fiance* who works at Mtv.
* meaning I cant say who
But they have some inside info that VH will be playing. Its even being talked about that the will open and close the show. (2 songs) Something that has never been done before. Mtv is trying to make it happen. we'll see. |
