As we get closer, I thought I'd bump this one up. I'm still in need of a single ticket so I thought if anyone had an extra please keep me in mind and PM me through the site please.
If not, I've got a couple of other outlets to pick up a ticket. I'm not in a panic and I WILL get into the show, but thought I'd try to go through the VH trading site first. Worst case (which may be a pretty decent deal) is to pick up a ticket outside of the show. I've heard that several other people had good success in other cities doing that. Either way, I'll be there and look forward to meeting some of the other folks from the site here.

Great news.......VH tore it up last night., If there was any fear of the tour going south or the band reverting back to the 2004 tour mishaps, last night was just the opposite. I went to opening night in Charlottwe and thought the show was awesome, and last night they were were Fantastic!!! The show stayed true to form in terms of the set list and all the mid song and between song banter (i.e. Magic bus, motorcycle sounds, back and forht between Dave and Edward;s guitar, "take of the fat dress and get on the matress") It was all there in super high form fashion.
Dave was prancing around the stage all night like a giddy school girl, more leg kicks last night then at the Charlotte show. He and Edward were joking back and forht all night. Wolfgang was much more comfortable, however still stiff at times but does a great job, and Alex can hld his own with the best of them. I will agree to earlier comments that he really holds things together.
Edward played exceptionally well last night. Not nearly as many bad notes, a few but hardly as noticible as other nights, and he seemed in tremendous spirits. A lot of banter with Dave and Wolfie......many many rock star poses and his solo was even a bit varied last night. Did not spend nearly the same amount of time on Cathedral as at other shows and spent much more time just tearing it up. Heavy distortion, lots of eruption riffs as well as some I have never heard before. Highlight of the night for me!
Overall, and this is not because it was in my hometown, it was one of the better nights of the tour so far. All the songs sounded great, decent music mix, at times Dave's voice was washed out by the guitars but it was quickly adjusted. I pray that someone taped it so everyone can judge for themselves. So happy, was everything I wanted/needed it to be and a bit more. I was cautious going in after hearing and reading the reviews about KC........I saw no evidence of a let down, I walked away fully psyched. I'm seeing them again two more times on this tour and they will be hard pressed to beat last night for me!!
