Originally saw this at VHLinks. Thought it was pretty amusing:
"Songs rehearsed for the tour focus almost exclusively on the first six albums, with the exception of one Hagar-era song, "Finish What Ya Started". In addition, "Can't Get This Stuff No More" from the first Greatest Hits will most likely be played. It should also be noted that the intro guitar riff of "Get Up" is being used as a lead in to "Hot For Teacher". Two new songs may make their appearance during the tour; "Boil"- the working title of Wolfgang Van Halen's bass solo segment, and "Skin Tight", an uptempo rocker with lyrics penned by David Lee Roth, and featuring Wolfgang's first true co-writing credit for music." |

| I can't see them playing any Hagar era songs. Maybe some riffs inbetween songs, but definately not any whole songs. I mean DLR wouldn't play with Sam when they toured together. This is all about Dave. I'll be very surprised if they do play FWYS. |

| I think it might be neat if they did fwys and i say kudos to wolfie for having the balls to do a bass solo but i think he should change the name. boil sounds too much like a throwback to eruption. |

| I figured if they did do a Sammy song, the only one DLR would even consider doing would be Poundcake. |

| Ya, I think FWYS is right up Dave's alley - if they feel thay have to do a Sammy song. |

I know Dave is in a tenuous situation, but I just don't see him singing any of Sammy's songs.

| Dave will never sing any Sammy songs. This rumor has no credibility! |

| Personally I don't think they will do any Sammy songs especially since Ed is not happy with Sammy & Michael for doing the Other Half thing. But I think if Eddie pressed the issue to do one or two, then Dave might be forced to and not have a choice unless he wants kicked out again. It could just be a powerplay thing with Eddie to make him feel like he has control over Dave. |

| In all honesty, I don't think I want to hear Dave sing any Hagar era tunes. |

Exactly. I want to see and hear Dave sing his own songs. Too many songs have been on the back burner for a long time now. |

You really think so??
I think it's all about (in this order):
1. Wolfie
2. The Van Halens
3. Dave
Dave is no position to call any shots or throw (what little) weight he has around.
Wolfie is being groomed to someday lead Van Halen for the next generation (his generation). His Dad and his uncle wouldn't let DLR get in the way of that.
Just my personal opinion though... |
