Was it ever stated why Mr. Totman is no longer working for/with EVH? I looked through that thread but didn't see anything... or did I just miss it?

Whatever the case is he seems like a stand up individual.

Thanks for the other link, Chris.
I've always felt sorry for the tech, no matter the band. They have to deal with a whole lot of crap and rarely get any praise. I bought the EVO Experience package for the Steve Vai Illusions tour and part of it was watching a soundcheck. While Vai has praised his tech (Thomas I believe is his name) in several interviews, he was still very demanding during the soundcheck. Now I'm not saying Vai is an ass, but I imagine he's like any other accomplished player who wants things a certain way, and when something is wrong, the tech gets an earful since it's his job to make it right.
I don't know if I could work under that much stress. To Vai's defense, after the soundcheck after everything was worked out, he put his arm around the tech thanked him for a wonderful job. I just don't imagine that happening with Ed.

I have heard many times how miserable a person Ed is from people that have worked with him, met him, etc.,.. It's sad, really. He's a moody alcoholic. I wish no evil, but when you live life like the Van Halen's do, instant karma catches up with you sooner or later.

Peace
Chris

So Ed is a dick... nothing new about that. I was just curious as to why his tech was no longer working with him.

And the reason I concern myself with it is because I find it all interesting. There are a lot of artists that have shaped the world with their music, and I have met my fair share of them, but not all of them are flaming assholes as Ed. What's wrong with being curious?

"Ed is a person with a big heart. Believe it or not out of any
player I have worked with he is the most thankful appreciative guy. He
constantly thanks you for all your hard work and lets you know that your
doing a great job. That means alot. He also lets you know if things are
not right but thats cool because its important to know that."

Wow. That's a splash of cold water in the face after his recent comments, eh?
