I've seen this in person at their guitar shop....it is super clean and plays great. They're cool dudes as well....just thought I'd put it out there for anyone who might be looking for one of these. |

For a Charvel Art Series? :sus:
Not a chance......unless it was one that was personally striped, played & signed by Ed. |

dear buddies, I have a question about these CHARVELS ( not hand striped by Ed)
What do you think about the NECK: IT'S BASICALLY WHITE, AND NOT LIKE THE "TRADITIONAL" BIRDS EYE MAPLE NECK ( AS ON THE PAST WOLFIES, OR EBMM GUITARS).
I heard many positive comments about this guitars: I tried one, and it sounded awesome. what surprised me, was the too white color of the neck. I couldn't see the traditional birds eye maple elements.
if you have answers, let me know. :thumb:
to me, it's a good guitar. :thumb:
what I am looking for, is the NEW WOLFIE. NOBODY SEEM TO KNOW WHEN IT WILL COME OUT AS STANDARD PRODUCTION :( |

I had one for a while (I was selling it for a friend, so I got to keep it for a couple weeks while lining up a buyer), and I thought it felt really good. The shape of the neck as well as the "oil" finish on the back reminded me of the old San Dimas Charvels. You're right about the fingerboard...no bird's eye at all, just plain maple. I imagine if you're buying it as a player, it'll get dirty and look fine after some time playing it. If I wasn't going to play it (and I mean play it a lot), I'd prefer a bird's eye board just for the appearance.
The sound of it is pretty good, just not too versatile (as you'd expect from a single humbucker). However, I couldn't get as much variance as I can out of 80's Barettas, even though they're single hum as well. The pickup will produce a great dirty sound with the volume wide open, and a pretty good clean with it rolled down (through a tube amp), but was limited in the "mid gain" sounds, but I don't think it was designed necessarily for that (but then I only spent a couple weeks with it, so someone who owns one may have found the right combination).
Overall a great guitar, and much better value than the 25K model. But that's just my opinion. |

| I had two of them and honestly, I'd rather buy a San Dimas or a Kramer for a few hundred bucks and stripe it up. After playing my Wolfies for a few years these guitars need a lot of set up work done to make them gig worthy in my opinion. I bought them for the collectability value, which I realized wasn't much, so I unloaded them quickly. They're cool to hang on the wall and they do sound good playing around at home, but to take them out and play them night after night would be a waste of money. Give me a Wolfie Special any day of the week. I have an ivory Special that I have beat the shit out of and it sounds fantasic, plays like butter and never goes out of tune, even when I break a string. It's the best working man's guitar I have ever owned for under a grand. :thumb: I hope the new version of the Wolfie maintains the standards of the original. |

Amen, Brother!
Anyone who knows me and will tell you my stance on the '80s Kramers...THEY RULE!
About two-thirds of my guitars are '80s Kramers :thumb: |

I don't know if anybody ever noticed this but I think there is somebody from the VH camp or a person or a group that is boosting the prices on VH items on Ebay.
The bidders are always in this form r***i like this one now on this item... It can be any 1st letter followed by *** and then any letter. (w***i, q****r, z***o, i***r, etc...)
The reason I say this is because I was looking for VH tickets for a show here in LA and 90% of the bidders had these id's but was there only to raise the price to a certain point enough so it can be outbid by a serious bidder. 90% of these **** bidders don't have feedback or if they do have a number next to them you can't access their history. If you see what they are bidding on currently it's only VH items.
I was bidding on 4-5 different auctions for tickets at different times and at one point was bidding on 2 floor tickets for about $150 for the pair with less then 20 minutes to go... All of a sudden 2 of these bot bidders started to try to out bid each other and raised the price to what it should of been for the value of those tickets and stopped for somebody to buy them about $100 over face value for the pair which a serious bidder did bid on and won.
Stuff like this was going on the whole time I was looking for tickets and just thought it was strange but I did get my tickets eventually.
Now look at the bidder here on this auction??? He has a 14 rating but no history???
Do a search yourself for Van Halen tickets for any venue and about 90% with bids on them are bot bidders:

Interesting...you'd think eBay would have some kind of safeguard for "shilling", if that's in fact what's going on.
Sort of off topic, but have you guys been reading about the Hannah Montana ticket inquiries? I saw one interview with a Ticketmaster employee that basically said it was impossible for that amount of tickets to be sold in that time if Ticketmaster guidelines were followed (he wouldn't give his last name since Ticketmaster isn't commenting about that, so he may be full of it). Another interview with a "ticket broker insider" said his company bought 1000 tickets per instance using software to override Ticketmaster's limits and guidelines...I like the idea Prince used a few years back where only the person who bought the tickets (with photo ID and card used) can pick up the tickets at the venue, and once you have your tickets, you can't go back outside. |

about the prices, this VH TOUR, produced a rasing in the guitar prices, especially the charvel:
from 800, to 1500 dollars, in a day, without bidding... :uhoh: it's business  but I think unfair...for whose who cannot afford 1500 dollars :( |

I've goofed around with one of these, they're not that great.
I would much prefer an '84-'88 Kramer Baretta or an early 80's Kramer Pacer. |
