|

Dear Buddies, :)
being an Italian fan of Van Halen may not be considered too relevant for a discussion, but anyway I want to try, and feel free to give me a feedback
( I always appreciated your honest feedback).
I don't think this tour will be "bad" as the 2004...and I say bad for all the situation that split the band in 2, mike and sam here, and ed and al on the other side...even if some shows were awesome ( I love the Cincinnati show)
this time, it may be different.
I'm sure wolfie will be fine because he's playing bass since 2004...and, 3 years of rehearsals, having edward van halen as teacher may be a sufficient warranty for a good result.
Since the excitement of the first night, the band will receive a big hug from the fans, and I am also sure that ed will play better than ever, with dave ready to do his
amazing job. :thumb:
listening to the pieces of rehearsals on evh-gear.com, we have to expect a good sound, with an outstanding production.
it's going to be a new band anyway.
and this time, Edward Van Halen, has the chance to demonstrate to his fans who he really is, once for all.
Having his son onstage might be considered a risk, but in the field of music, and particularly when we talk about Van Halen, we have to admit that this time, the situation is strangely different.
everything came up in the beginning of 2007 as a surprise, Dave's back!...but Mike is out...
but probably, this time, we might be surprised by a very young bass palyer surrounded by 3 of the most talented musicians ever created on this planet.
it's not just a concept of sobriety, it's something more, that goes beyond this tour.
I don't consider edward van halen a stupid, and i'm sure that everything has to be perfectly set, in order to produce a wonderful show.
I'm excited for this tour. and the music that we'll hear, it's going to remain in our ears and hearts for a long time.
this is the time for VH to be serious. that's why I'm 100% sure that this tour will rock our asses! :thumb: |

I'm very optimistic...but then I've been waiting for this for 23 years, so I may be wearing a little of the "rose colored glasses".
With that being said, if it's a bad show, I'm honest enough to admit it's a bad show...but either way there should be some awesome energy flowing around the arena on Sept. 27 :D |

I never had any doubts that they would Rock Back to 1984
To me as long as ED was sober we hear and see the guitar virtuoso that we all admired and he brings it better than anyone else.....
Wolfie I knew would do the job since his Dad is in my opinion the best teacher to have to learn....The only worry I had with Wolfie was if he would crack under ppressure taking his age into account but so far as we all can see he is a cool cat that will take over dads legacy :D |
