I'm a little stunned and confused there are no dates in Texas yet. I'm hoping this is a case of "let's test drive this thing for a month or so, then take her back out in the Spring" if all goes well.

Back in '84 they sold out three nights in Dallas, one in Austin and I think either two in Houston and/or San Antonio.

Anyone know why the snub to Texas (so far)?

Van Halen roots run very deep down here...there will be a lot of disappointed fans if they don't hit at least a couple of shows in the Lone Star State.

Because there are only so many dates they can play between now and the end of the year. Cities/venues are already confirmed for January, so just hold tight and wait to see what gets announced for early 2008.

If you feel uneasy about the tour holding up that long, then you need to seriously consider making travel arrangments.
