Hello, everyone, I know the subject of MA getting dissed by Eddie is a hot topic with this '07 tour and I decided to show my support for Mike with a t-shirt. I'm not sure I'm going to go public with it unless there is a demand. I won't post the design here but if you're interested just e-mail me and I'll give you a sneak peak. Thanks! :thumb:

I believe there is a "Where's Michael Anthony" tee shirt on the web already (read about it in Rolling Stone.com w/ link).

People settle down. Did everyone have a hissy fit and wear "Where's Dave" shirts when Sam joined and did everyone where "Where's Sam" shirts when gary joined???

VH evolves and members will change. Spending money to go to the show and wear a "Where's Mike" shirt shows you're stupid enough to buy a ticket then bitch the wole time you're there. I'll go see VH then I'll catch a Sammy show as well. If it's such a bad thing Mike is not there, don't go and I'll gladly take your place.

Maybe your the one who needs to settle down. Just because someone wears a "Where's Mikey?" shirt to a show doesn't mean they are going to bitch the whole time. IF I go to a show, which seems unlikely at this point, I would wear a shirt that says, "Where's Mikey?" Not that anyone in the band would ever even see it and I would not be bitching the whole time. It would just humor me to know that I wore it. I do recall people wearing "Where's Dave?" shirts and it never seemed to bother me. I didn't think the people were bitching the whole show. So they wanted to wear the shirt, so what, good for them. Why would you care?

Actually, I am having fun with this whole situation and I have too many other 'real-life' issues to get excited over Van Halen melodrama. If people want to wear a shirt in protest of what's happened to Mike or anything else they damn well have that right! :thumb: F-U-N :D

...well, I understand that with Mikey we would have seen the real Van Halen reunion, but I think that wearing a t-shirt would sound not so fair for wolfie. :uhoh:

this tour, raised many expectations in everyone of us, but as I said many times, even with my not so perfect English, is that we might be surprised, from different sides. :)

This "new" band, will sound different from the past, we have to accept this point, unless we might stay home, and protest saving our money( :D )

this time, I'll be in Cleveland, and I'll report here my impressions on the show.

Last time I did, it was for the holmdel nj show in august 16th 1998...and the dvd speaks for itself...Gary was good even if he wasn't dave or sammy :D

I think It's not the time for a protest, it's time to have fun with our heroes :thumb:

I understand all the crap that happened between the management of EVH and MA...

I won't protest to the show, for the respect I have for the WHOLE band, past and present. period.

I'll go to the show and support VAN HALEN :thumb:

and I'll be in Akron supporting Sammy and Mikey anyway :D :) :thumb:

sounds good to me :D

yeah, support in a good way it's better than protest...and if the new van halen will play like shit, ok, i'll report it over here. No fear to tell the truth. :D

I think it sound pretty good to me :)

I think the distinction here is Dave left to go solo in '85. It's not like he wasn't invited back for the 5150 tour. Mike got pink slipped without even being told face to face.

well said warno! :thumb:

in 85/86 sammy remembered that when he came out onstage, many fans would scream " dave lee who????????"

and well, about the other half...well, it's not van halen at all, it's a sort of good karaoke style... :)

it's sammy hagar and michael anthony playng Van Halen in a cover band :D

what sammy made in the past before and after van halen, is awesome, and I like it.

But sammy playing with mikey without Ed and Al, is not van halen, edward cannot be replaced by no other guitarplayer.

Like Freddie Mercury, of Queen. They will tour again and made records. Infact they call themselves

QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS...even if John Deacon stays home.

about the other half, it's like go to an ACDC concert with %^#$^$( (&*(&%^ on the guitar :thumb:

wanna know who %^#$^$( (&*(&%^ is?

is a good guitarplayer which cannot reproduce the sound, the groove of Angus.

The same is for VAN HALEN, you cannot replace Edward, too unique.

Dave did this in 85, but for how faster steve vai can play ( I love most of his music, and seen him live)

steve vai, is not EDWARD VAN HALEN. period.

I'll go to sammy and mikey show,

but my expectations will be quite different from the VAN HALEN SHOW

at quicken loans arena in Cleveland  :thumb:

respect for everyone, no protest anyway

Actually...yes, I did :D (j/k)

In all seriousness, I did have a shirt that said "Eddie played better when he was in Dave's band".
