thx for posting those shooter....i didnt have the energy to do it right now...you rock buddy!!!!
anyone?
is that Eddies Guitar Techs area in that box on stage right with the design on the door?
Als Drums look awesome...even though there is no drum solo listed im willing to bet he does one. I doubt he needed to do one at rehearsals and have everyone just wait for him to finish. Its probably something he would do during full production rehearsals to make sure all the lighting cues and screen marks are hit. The other guys wouldnt need to be around for that.
im having excitement overload..... |

| WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Damn man!!! Is there anything more satisfying than seein' Dave and Ed on stage together again!!?? I swear...even with the tour being announced and the press conference and everything...I was still a little nervous. After gettin' my hopes up back when Best Of Vol. 1 came up...I was almost scared to get all excited again...hahahaah. Geeeeez...I sound like a friggin' girl that just got the boot out of the bed in the morning...hahahaha. I know it's been the topic of hot discussion...but MAN I hope they squeeze Me Wise Magic in there somewhere...but hell if not...who cares!?!? Hahahahah...they could get up there and play quarter note A's for two hours and I'd be goin' nuts. |

How do they know what I want to hear? Personally I like Ed's old solos but I'd also like to hear him do something new. |

I agree. When I saw VH from the front row back in 1979 and 1980, the guitar solo was nothing short of mind-blowing. Eddie did some of the coolest stuff you ever saw. And other than the Eruption part, it was completely different each time. I don't remember how long it was, but it wasn't one of 15+ minute monstrosities it eventually became.
It was really cool to see from up close because you see the subtle nuances that went into parts of it. I remember during one of the solos he did this part where he had this low-level feedback coming from the guitar. He was reaching under the guitar with his left hand working the tremolo bar and tapping the guitar with his right hand knuckles. He would tap the body of the guitar, on the neck, the headstock ~ and pretty much everywhere else. Each tap brought on a different sound, and the same tap with a different manipulation of the tremolo bar brought out a different sound. And then he'd turn his body and change the feedback and get even more weird and crazy sounds. Being so close, you could watch Eddie's own reactions to all of this, and being a guitarist myself, I could really follow along with what he was doing and where he was going with it. It's probably one of my all-time favorite concert moments.
I don't think he'll ever be able to create something like this anymore. It's not because he's lost his ability to do that stuff ~ that was just a different time and stage in his life as a musician and like everyone, he's changed and moved on.
As opposed to the 15+ minute solos, I think he could easily accomplish the same level of "wow" with a 7-8-9 minute solo.
I wouldn't be too surprised if Wolfie comes out during the solo with a six-string and does something with his Dad during the solo.

| I just want this tour to stop in Pittsburgh!!!!!!!!! This setlist sounds great (although I could have replaced a couple tracks with Sinners Swing, Hear About It Later, Light Up The Sky, & Drop Dead Legs)! |
