If you have experienced any issues since the move to the new server, please post them here. This includes login problems, server time-outs, forbidden pages, and site slowness.

Login Tip: Clean out your browser's cookies if you haven't already. In Internet Explorer (version 6), you can do this by going to Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies. In Firefox (version 2), go to Tools > Clear Private Data > Clear Private Data Now (important: make sure that anything you want to save, such as Saved Passwords and Saved Form and Search History, is NOT checked). Close and reopen the browser, log into the VHTrading.com site again, and a majority of the problems should be cleared up.

Hi Scott,

I've deleted cookies (IE6) as described and I still have login problems. My O/S is Windows 2000.

This http://www.vhtrading.com/forums/index.php is my home page. I will try to log on and it appears like it has worked. I then try and click any other link on the site and I loose my login. Not only that but it just keeps refreshing the page and I cant actually get to the log on page when I click on the link. The only way I can get things to work, is at that point where I am stuck, go to another site and then come back and suddenly I am logged on again.

A separate issue which has been around since the new site was put up is that I have to log on several times a day. On the old site, it remembered my password for weeks/months on end. I've kinda got used to this now, but it does seem a backwards step from the old site.

I dont mean to sound ungrateful, but as I dont do torrenting, I really wish we could go back to the old site, it worked perfectly for me for years. This new site has been nothing but trouble for me.

Thanks for all your hard work in trying to get things working right.

Chris.

Same here Scott... I've cleaned out my cookies and still have to type in my user name and password 2x in order to log in... In the past I wouldn't have to re-enter everything for months & months.. I know you will get it all fixed we just need to be patient..Ory :thumb:

Still have the following issues:

- I have to log in 2 times to get through.

- The 'View posts since last visit' doesn't work.

- The smilies are still not working.

I've cleared cache & cookies on Firefox.

Alrighty, I tweaked the cookie code ever so slightly. Whoever is still experiencing the double log-in problem, please log out, clear your cookies (I'm sorry, I know it's a pain in the ass), and log back in. Then surf the VH Trade site and let me know if it forces you to log in again.

How does the 'View posts since last visit' not work? Are you getting page errors, or does it come up as no results? I just logged in as a test account a few minutes ago, and saw 60+ new posts since that account's last visit.

And are the smilies not showing up for you on the left side after you hit the "Post Reply" button, or do they do nothing when you click on one of them when posting a message?

I was getting a "No new posts' under 'View posts since last visit'. Works OK now.

Log in worked OK this time.

Smilies appear to the left, but don't work when clicked on - get 404 error.

We're getting there ! Thanks Scott.

Whenever I click on 'Forums Home' ,'My Profile', etc., it says that I'm not logged in.

Also, I can't log out without closing out the window itself.

Cleared cookies again, but the problem remains exactly the same as I described before.

Sometimes when I click on a specific topic or a certain page

of a topic, it says that I'm not logged in when I already was

logged in. Still getting a 404 error when I click on smilies.
