So Im just now getting around to review last nights show in Anaheim. First off much love to the Hoooooter Girls for their hospitality. Their bartender however, sucks!! How hard is it to make a Jack and Coke???
Anyways, VH came on around 830-40. Same set list. Again I can not stress enough how impressed I am with Dave's vox. Strong the whole night. Again, he was a little low in the mix for the first two songs but they recovered. VH was much more loose and improvisational tonight. Way more so than San Jose. It almost felt like San Jose had a curfew. Along with the looseness came some sloppy playing by Ed. At times I enjoyed it because I hate perfect solos but sometimes he went off key. Ed played a cream wolf gtr again and switched twice to his money makers. Wolf again was very engaging and I noticed his bass playing more tonight. Kid is good. Mikey Ur still my #1. Dave's story was the same but with a OC twist. Ed's solo was a little longer than San Jose but sloppy. Low point was they were way off during Jump. That was a bit of a train wreck. I'll Wait, was similar but not as bad. Funny, they knew Jump was off and it felt like they were trying to keep it together until the final power chord.
The OC crowd was on point. Gave me chills when the whole joint was singing RWTD. Lots of MIlfs!!!
I wish I could go to Oakland but the police said Im no longer allowed in the building. Stupid Jack and Cokes.
Cheers all!!!! Happy Xmas

| How was security there? Would it have been easy to get taping gear in? In the past Anaheim has been tough. The only time I got nailed in my many years of taping was there. |
