I was just wondering if there were alot of people selling tickets at the shows. I'm looking for 2 tickets for the N.J gig. I know someone selling tickets, not the greatest seats for face, but looking for better. Are there many people selling extra's at the shows.

Thanks for any info.

There were quite a few at both shows I attended. At the 2nd show, I didn't arrive until just as the band went on and got tickets super cheap from a scalper.

The Meadowlands parking lot area is usually filled with people selling.

Based on the amount of tickets for that show on Stubhub, I would say you should probably be OK finding something the night of outside the venue.

I'm seriously thinking of heading out to Vegas for both shows. What would you think my best approach is? Stubhub? Ebay? Waiting until last day or two before shows & going thru a website? Scalping at venue?

I'm looking for good to great floor seats, but would love to pay a reasonable price if possible.

Been to only 1 show at the MGM Grand Arena (Pearl Jam 2006) and I don't remember seeing scalpers. There is 1 way into the arena (at least as far as I know - if not, 99% of the people go in 1 way) and that is from the casino through the restaurant area by the LV Monorail station. Very crowded before a show mostly with people who have their tickets ahead of time.

I know when I go to an out of town event, I usually like to have my tickets first. In this case, I would constantly check Craigslist. Sometimes you have someone just looking to dump extras. Otherwise, its stubhub or ebay and hope you catch someone looking to unload at a fair price - which is rare.

I may be wrong, but, isn't it legal to resell tickets in Vegas for any price?

Toronto had a TON of people selling tickets. And just that, once VH hit the stage, the prices dropped below face.

No it is not, you just cannot sell on property.

The one problem and the reason why the Vegas shows are not selling well is that the shows are on New Years Eve weekend. So hotel rooms are 2-4 times more expensive then usual. Your best way to get ticket is to look at all the different sources. Their is never one best way. I have had luck on Craig's list, Ebay, brokers in the parking lot and also brokers on line.

Knowing the Vegas concert scene I think that they where expecting these two shows to sell out and they where going to add a third on Saturday but with slower tickets sales then expected, they dropped the idea of the third show.

They actually have two entrance, the second one is somewhat hidden and used mostly for limo drop offs and locals that now that is the quickest entrance and exit. The problem with buying tickets out front is at times casino security gets very aggressive on people selling tickets. I have seen a market where to many tickets where available at the door (Police) and security came through and made a quick sweep of people selling. After the security walk through you could not find a ticket for over a hour. Then right before show time security left the area and then the brokers came back and started dumping what they had.

It is different for every show with tickets available, prices and amount of security roaming the concourse. They even have undercover security working that all the brokers know who he is since they have used the same undercover for three years.

I'm sorry if this has been asked else where on our site but:

Ticketmaster says for Orlando, "$48.50 - $124.00"

I have 2 questions.
1) is there a middle $85 ticket price also?

2) if there is not an $85 ticket, are the $48 tickets all found on the upper deck and ALL other seats $125.
(or are there nice $48 dollar tickets in the lower sections/ lower deck)

I'm just trying to figure out what to enter when they go on sale tomorrow morning.

thanks for any insight from other cities.
Gary

In my experience, anything on the lower level(s) will be 124. Maybe some 400's will be cheaper, but who wants those?

In Dallas there were indeed three levels...and I suspect you already know that you're going to pay more than "face value"/listed value for the tickets by the time you add on "service fees", taxes and shipping. As stated above, my $79.50 tickets really cost me $95 by the time all fees were added.

Best of luck, call/get on-line early and often. Within 4-5 hours it will be down to only single behind the stage-type seats.

Yeah, the $125 tickets ended up costing just under $150 in NC...I don't see how they can justify that big of a service charge
