Hello all. Spent $1400 on 2 front row dead center VIP seats for VH in Seattle. Due to all of this I didn't try to record (which I now realize would have been cake) figuring all the Halen show seem to be taped. My BBIIIGGG mistake. Nothing has shown up so far and the dude that filmed the whole show (Youtube) won't trade/sell anything. Nice to meet another hoarder. Anyway, does anyone have this show? Thanks so much. Show meant allot to me and I'd love to relive it.

WOW...Well it looks like your shady source might have known something you didnt.
Montreal Video. I have the Masters. I will release them eventually.
Charlotte DV Angle #3. I have the DV Masters...and it Was just released by me on a private site. It has Toronto 79 Footage as Bonus Footage. Its a 3DVD Set. The HD Source should be available by Guitard and his Team in a short while.
Greensboro 1Cam is available for Trade. Mine is on the way from the US. The HD 2cam is being released by Guitard and his Team.
Seattle was Filmed. Have a look at the Sample here.
Sometimes all you need to do is ask..instead of assuming someone is shady. |

well.... the guy filmed youtube clips with his video camera from his PC monitor, and posted it with a huge red watermark across the screen, claiming it to be a DVD from the ''original source.'' as well as posting Lou's 10/12 show and claiming it to be 10/7, when all it was was a 16bit recording of Lou's show.... so i didnt exactly believe what he was saying. :p
also how would he have Montreal, if you have the masters and ''will get around to releasing them eventually''
thanks for the heads up on Charlotte and Greensboro, and the link to Seattle :thumb: :D |

Well, there are probably 5 Experienced Filmers that Live in the Montreal Area. I have one of the sources.
It's just like the Toronto shows. Both Nights were filmed in DV...and one is out and one is not. Im sure there are even more sources that havent even surfaced yet.
When you make comments like that about possible sources it could backfire and we could lose possible sources to other shows. Believe me when i say many filmers watch this site and watch whats going on here.
I have no plans on releasing any more shows until everying settles down. Right now shows are a plenty and most probably arent even watching the shows. Then we will have a New Batch in 08. |

coming from experience there, some people are so ungrateful and want everything now now now. Over at HTGTH (GNR Forum), when a DVD is shared some people just want more and more, they can never just be grateful for what they've been given. I like the idea of spreading them out, keeping the masses happy for a long period of time. |

This is somewhat related.
I had a trade going with a guy for the VH Greensboro,Toronto and East N.J shows. :D
He was very cool about it and contacted ME 1st.
I told him that he was to send HIS DVD's 1st and then I would send mine. ;)
I told him in BOLD,LARGE TEXT, that I wanted to make sure that they were "Indeed burned on DVD-R and that they were NOT compressed and did NOT look like Cell Phone Clips or You Tube Videos"!
He assured me they weren't. He said there was a little "Focus" problems on 2 of the DVDs.
When I got them, BOTH the Greensboro and the Toronto looked EXACTLY like I was hoping they wouldn't.
Then I turned the DVDs over and for a 2 hour show only 1/2 the disc was used.
The East N.J. Show was actually decent and filmed with a HD Camera.
I mean how much "clearer" could I have made myself! :furious:
I suppose if you were a novice and didn't know what to look for, you could pass it off as "Focus Problems".
I told him I'd either send all 3 Titles back to him or I could keep the N.J DVD and send him 1 DVD Title in trade.
Damn some people!

Even though you didn't get what you were hoping for, you did the right thing by asking him to send first.
Anytime ANYONE comes to you for a trade and you have never traded with that person before, you should ALWAYS have them send first unless it's a rare item they are offering......and in that case either offer to do a small trade, or just kindly say "thanks, but no thanks".

Good news that the Seattle show was filmed. Hopefully it shows up in trading circles sooner or later. ;) |

| I figure most of these shows are filmed.. I think people are holding on to them and waiting until the dust clears a little. Like a few of you mentioned once people get one they want more, more, more but they never actually watched what they have already.. I know I haven't watched 1/2 the stuff I have from the tour. |
