To me, that is the ultimate pre-concet event. Tailgaiting before the show with friends you don't even know. When I went to the first Toronto show(10/07/07) and we met up with approx 10 friends from another web site for a few hours before the concerrt and enjoyed a few and decided that the next Toronto concert( 10/12/07), we were meeting up again with even more friends(14), which turned out to be really decent.
So the majority of people going to the Montreal(11/10/07) concert were trying to talk me into going to Montreal for the show. well, a friend came from Philedelphia(Lou) so I said, the least I could do is go to Montreal and meet up with everyone.(Lou, TommyV, Twonabomber, Shoes, Guwapo and a number of their friends) Needless to say, there was approx 10 to 12 of us who spent the weekend there and had a blast before and after the concert! It's one thing going to a concert with your wife and yourself and another thing to turn around while walking down Young Street in Toronto and seeing 10 friends behind you going to the same concert at the same time knowing they were as excited as you were to see Van Halen! |

Thanks for posting this, Wes. Great stuff!!!
Hey, that interviewer dude, he's totally reminding me of the geeky kid singing Paradise City in the movie, "Can't Hardly Wait" with Jerry O'Connell and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Those of you familiar w/this flick will know the kid I mean. OMG, this interviewer is totally that kid!!! |
