Very sad.... my heart goes out... Pyro at concerts can be a lot of fun, (just ask KISS), but I think these production enhancements should only be allowed in large facilities, like stadiums or arenas.
I know here in Montreal that for large shows, (Bell Center), bands that bring in pyro are permitted to use the stuff, but proper permits must be obtained from the city, and fire department staff are on hand during the show in case of an emergency.
As well, most bands hire pyrotechnical staff with years of experience in their field, who know what they're doing, and know exactly how to avoid such disasters.
All in all, a very sad tragedy that probably could have been avoided. :( |

This is such a sad thing to happen. I personally have not beent o the place before but i do know people who have and the place is really small.
There is no way they should have had pyro at the show.
My condolenses go out to the families of the victims.

Jason I've heard it was a club, how small was it, does anybody know? I figure since you said thre shouldn't have been any pydo, it was pretty small, very sad. :( |

I am in the middle of a trade with him. I sent him an email to offer my condolences to him or anyone he knows that was there.
He said he was busy trying to dig out of the recent blizzard, and now this went down.
I haven't received a response yet? Has anyone else heard from him recently? Does anyone know if he went to this? :( |
