| I guess over a 13 day period I've contacted 9 known good traders to just see what their requirements are for trading, what I would like and in some instance sent my list. I'm kinda of a newbie, but have been collecting material for over a decadeand a half. Have a bout 65 shows on cd. Even did an ad in Goldmine. Funny thing is I have gotten a response in Goldmine and am going to do a twenty show trade. Yet no one from this forum will even contact me to say no on a trade.......its very disheartening. Anyway if there is any newbies that want to trade with a newbie contact me by email we might be able to do a trade. I WILL answer all email. | Mike,<P>Sorry this had to happen to you, man. Unfortunately, it seems to happen every once in a while -- one trader in particular has his trade requests "fall through the cracks" and gets little or no responses. Believe me, it's nothing personal if it seemed like these other traders "ignored" you. Most of 'em are good traders and weren't trying to be jerks. Strange but true, it just happens. :( |

| I know how you feel...<P>During last 6 weeks I've contacted well over 20 traders(not from this board...so far 3 have responded and I have one trade in progress...<P>btw you still consider yourself as a newbie with 65 shows ;) |

| Thanks folks I really do appreciate the response and as promised I will send the list I have. I wasn't down on the people, its that everyone says "dont buy, trade" so when you hope for a response,(not an immediate one, this was over 2wks) its depressing.....by the way I didn't post on board, I just took the time to Email people who I had heard (and read) were good traders.<BR>Again thanks and peace out..<BR>Mike |

| I was lucky to trade with one of the moderators at the pleasure dome. I traded Live 79 Seattle (clear vinyl) Die laughing (multi color vinyl), Halen Hearty, Van Action, Montroses First test pressing, and an edited Radio show w/Roth for 61 shows and jewel cases.....I still think he got the better deal. | Hey, Don't worry. I fully intend to trade with ya! I myself have been goin' nonstop for the last week with work and home. It never ends. Plus, with this holiday; I'm just too busy. I have you and probably 4 others with messages in my inbox. Yes, you will hear from me; most likely Sat night or sometime during the day on Sunday. Don't worry dude; I'm not ignoring you; just too damn busy. (Tis only gonna get worse with Christmas comin..........) |
