| Here's a crazy idea.... what do you guys think about doing a 'best of' 07/08 tour DVD.... picking the best version of each song played, both in terms of video quality and audio quality and putting together a killer compilation DVD? I think it's a pretty decent idea... but I'm biased. |

I'd love to do it... I have a mac and the DVD software that comes with it... not sure if that's enough, but I'd love to put something together once the tour is done and I have all of my DVDs. Sure would be a great project to learn on... you never know! |

Just a little something to keep in mind...
Unlike years (tours) past, when pretty much everything was 4:3 footage, this tour there is a wide mix of 4:3, 16:9, and the digital picture cam footage which is 640X480 (someone help me with the aspect ratio math). Since you will presumably be working mostly (if not entirely) with mpeg clips as your source footage (I doubt you're going to be getting much in the way of raw footage...but you never know), I'd stick with like ratios for any one DVD, i.e., a DVD of 4:3 footage, another DVD of 16:9 footage, etc.
Just a thought to put in your kit bag.

| As long as each clip is a different title on the DVD, you can use 4:3 and 16:9 on the same disc using DVD Studio Pro on Mac. |

| Thanks for the info... like i said, I have no experience with that so it's a bit confusing. I figured that if I worked from DVDs that are already authored that everything would be the same... sort of like a big visual mix-tape.... guess not... |
