Hi
i got a DVD in the mail, and most of the DVD is fine, but when it reaches certain points it will freeze up, pixelate the video and repeat 1 second of video over and over.... is there any way i could fix the bad sectors?
I ripped it to PC with DVD decrypter
Thanks |

Have you tried reburning the files and seeing if the disk plays properly? |

I've never heard of a DVD pixelating as the result of a bad burn. I'm not saying it can't happen...just that I've never heard of it.
My guess would be that there is nothing wrong with the disk, or else you wouldn't have been able to copy it to the harddrive. It sounds like it wasn't properly encoded and/or authored. But without actually seeing the disk, it's hard to say. |

You could extract the VOB to MPEG-2 with a program like VOB2MPG and go from there. MPEG can be a bitch to fix but it all depends whats wrong with it....
There are more apps life INFOEdit,VOB Blanker, (I think) ... just google it and usually you can fix Vobs but loose menus and stuff in process....but thats not a biggy.....Try That
Good Luck |

Ive tried everything and nothing works, but i can cut out the bad parts in TMPEGEnc DVD author, so i am just going to cut it out when the error starts and fade it in when its over.... it usually like 30 seconds or shorter....
Thanks for the suggestions! |
