I already downloaded it and tried it with several shn shows on my computer and the same message comes up that it is an unrecognized format or corrupt files, or something along those lines.

Are you using version 2.2.2? I just tested a shn file and had no problems.

I use dB pwr. amp. You need to download the codec for SHN. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-shorten.htm It's too easy!

It is version 222. I reinstalled it and tried it on another shn file and same message again. I tried it out on a flac file just to see and it worked fine. So the problem must be me. Is their anything different I need to do for a shn file?

I was having that same problem too a while ago and just gave up so now I have a few shows sitting in HD that I never was able to put on a disc.

Thanks for the links guys and I will give them a shot..Ory

I found another shn file show and Traders Little Helper worked fine with it. I understand that you can get corrupt files. I just found it kind of weird that 4 shows in a row would be corrupt.

Did you verify the files before decoding? SHNs should have an MD5 file which is the file verification file. I would see if they pass verification. Also make certain you have sufficient harddisc space, I know that seems obvious but can be easily over looked.

I get corrupt files sometimes, but the problem was the bad download... just had to download over again. :thumb:

That's what I like about dBpwr. amp... It verifies when you convert. :thumb: If a file is corrupt, just make sure you deleted the converted file, download it again and covert again. If the file is still corrupt, it's from a previous source (if that makes any sense)
