Hey all

From the local news confirmation Ed has health issues...He has lots of tests to go through at the moment..hence the recent cancellations...Sorry about the French...lol

Eddie Van Halen doit passer des tests

Le groupe rock Van Halen a dû reporter des concerts cette semaine, le guitariste Eddie Van Halen devant subir des examens médicaux.
Dans un communiqué, le porte-parole du groupe et le promoteur de sa tournée, Live Nation, ont indiqué qu'Eddie Van Halen subissait une série de tests afin d'établir un diagnostic précis et de recommander des mesures à prendre. La nature des examens n'a pas été précisée.
Eddie Van Halen a eu quelques problèmes de santé au cours des dernières années. Il a, entre autres, combattu un cancer et est allé en désintoxication.
Les concerts annulés cette semaine sont ceux de Dallas, Cincinnati, Baltimore et Raleigh, en Caroline du Nord. Ils ont été reportés en avril. |

| "Lots of tests" doesn't sound like his hands. Sounds like serious health issues. Cancer. Maybe should have stopped smoking the first 2 times he had throat surgery. |

I thought he had tongue cancer and it was his tongue that the docs operated on? |

Thats right Randy...as far as I know it was tongue cancer.... :confused: |

how is that a "confirmation" of anything? Its the same info they put on the website... |

how is that a "confirmation" of anything? Its the same info they put on the website...
The article yes but I saw this on live news where they mentioned from their sources that it was official...anyways you know news are news ....real or not?? we never know till ED mentions anything..... |

| I believe it. The picks probably contained lead which is poison (as you know) which explains Ed's grogginess. |

| I'm not a guitar player, but lead poisoning has been known about for decades now, so I doubt picks are made from lead. Can any guitar players weigh in on that? |

Let's not forget the fact that Ed drinks alot.
I have played guitar for years. Most picks are plastic, I doubt that the very few metal picks contain lead.
I think Ed is in denial from the years of smoking. |

I'm not so sure... you'd be surprised what sill contains lead today.
Ed may have smoked for years but I've known people who've smoked much longer. Most of Ed's ciggys burn out on the headstock of his guitars anyways... He's lucky to get 2 pulls. |

I agree. A few weeks ago my youngest son who is a cub scout had to return some of his awards and pins because of a recall. You guessed it, they were suspected of containing lead....... :irked: :furious: |
