| Wouldn't surprise me if the next time we see them is the Tiger Jam in Vegas. Thats what my first though was when they started saying they were going to postpone shows. |

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
After postponing a handful of dates last week in order for guitarist Eddie Van Halen to undergo tests for an unspecified medical condition, Van Halen is postponing all tour activity until April 19.
Seventeen shows are affected, beginning tomorrow night (March 11) in Charlottesville, Va., and running through April 15 in Baltimore.
According to organizers, Van Halen, who has battled cancer and substance abuse, "is currently under doctors' care" and will "continue medical tests to define a course of treatment." No further details were made available.
Fans are being asked to keep their tickets, which will be honored at makeup dates to be announced.
Van Halen returned to the road last fall with original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 20-plus years. The tour, which features Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass, has routinely sold out North American arenas. |

First of all lets get a few things straight that have been posted on this website as well as other news outlets. Here's a few things from a bonafide source.....100% legit.
1. Valerie never ever contacted Ed about the release date of the book. Meaning he never received an advance copy and all the sordid details that were going to be printed! He is not a happy camper. He's had accusations made when there are two sides to every story. Unfortunately for him its a no win situation. This book was released without Ed's blessing.
2. Ed wears two rings. One is his father's wedding band and the other is a promise ring from his girlfriend.
3. Ed is not in rehab! Ed has never taken crack or meth. Stories to the contrary are untrue.
4. Ed's publicist has a contract with the band which states she can only have VH as a client and VH only. His publicist did have a lucrative career before joining the band.
5. Valerie set up the book tour to coincide with the VH tour. (Tacky)
6. Ed does have a hearing problem which is behind the situation at hand.
7. Contrary to popular belief, Val has not contacted Ed to see how he's doing and rarely has any interraction. Recent stories saying she has been in contact are untrue.
Lets just remember Ed and his family are human beings and deserve respect as much as anybody else.
As far as the band is concerned there will be a future.

I guess we'll have to wait for some official announcement
regarding the rescheduled concerts. I just received an email
from Ticketmaster stating that the show was going
to be postponed! :sus: |

| My problem is whether I should wait and see if the Manchester NH show happens. I feel fortunate I got to see them in Boston. Having 2 tickets costing me $100 each is burning a hole in my pocket. The thing is I know it'll kill me if they actually do come and I dont have tix. They were a birthday present. Obviously Ed's health is the most important thing...being able to see them once was literally a dream come true to see them once. |
