Have there been any Dave sightings during all this? It seems impossible a guy like the diamond one could lay low for so long, especially right after being in the public eye for a couple of months prior. Is he in LA? Surfing in San Diego? Driving ambulance in NY? How did he just disappear like this? Out of everything that's happened (or hasn't happened), I've been most amazed at Dave's silence on EVERYTHING!

My take on the Dave situation is that it is a good thing that we haven't heard from him. I think that when we do the tour and honeymoon are over. He's probably down in the Amazon pulling a tugboat up stream!

Just a weeze, no offense intended :D

Now THAT is funny...

Dave probably knows and has learned to keep quiet on matters not concerning himself. If he did pipe up to say almost anything on the subject of Ed's health, watch to see an announcement within days saying the tour is again cancelled, the reunion is over.

I don't think it's just a matter of Dave thinking he has to keep quiet. When it comes to personal matters, Dave and the VH bros operate pretty much the same way: they keep their business very private.

Here in the age of the all pervasive papparazzi, I'm still surprised SOMETHING hasn't surfaced somewhere. I mean there's 50 guys with cameras around every corner stalking celebs plus the E! channel, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, and hundreds of rags on the stands pushing celeb news. The fact that the VH organization has been able to keep a tight lid on this as they have is pretty amazing when you think about it. Its a rare thing for a celebrity to have this much privacy these days.

Either that, or more likely...they don't quite consider Van Halen members to be of the same "celebrity" status demanding that level of attention. In other words, not on the radar screen of most Americans.

I have a couple of friends from years back who I saw Van Halen with numerous times...(e.g. "fans")...but until I mentioned it to them they had no idea Van Halen was even on tour, much less with Roth.

Yeah, but thats probably a good thing.

Look at all the "celebrities" that are demanding all the attention. Not a great deal of talent between them. Famous for being famous.

I'm glad I dont see VH in every crappy magazine I pick up or shitty shows like Entertainment Tonight.

Notice how you dont see people like DeNiro, Pacino, Morgan Freeman or bands like Van Halen, the Stones or Aerosmith or whatever on these type of shows.

Why....

Because they are talented....
