I'll be there. Plans haven't been set in stone yet, so I don't know when I'll roll in. I'm 1.5 hours north.

There's a sports bar called Shoeless Joe's on the corner of Mannheim and Touhy about a block or so away from the arena. Much better place than Chili's.

I'll probably throw on my white/black/red striped shirt for the event. I'll be easy to pick out of the crowd that way.

Met up with scoobie pre-show at Shoeless Joe's. Good chatting with you. What seats did you end up with?

The show was fantastic (IMO). The band was tight and the performances were top-notch.

We all know the set list... the usual (minus Little Guitars, plus Crossroads).

Things I noticed.
a) Ed seemed a little under the weather, but you would have never known it by his playing or his expressions. He blew his nose quite a bit in the early part of the show, didn't smoke, and didn't jump around at all. The only time I saw him leave the ground was when he'd hop down off the drum riser. But he played great, the solo was great and it looked like he was really enjoying things.

b) The gong behind Alex that never gets used, got used! Wolfie banged on it at the beginning of Ed's guitar solo.

c) Two Charvel guitars were used, one for I'll Wait and a different one for ...and the Cradle will Rock.

The rest of the night Ed played the Ivory guitar except for Jump. He played a quilt-top for Jump.

d) Ed wore red/white striped sneakers.

e) Wolfie wore blue/white striped sneakers.

f) Crossroads rocked!

g) The show looked to be completely sold out.

h) Dave has lost the hat on his d%ck routine but added a couple of other props. The red flag at the end of the show is torn up, unlike the one used at the beginning.

i) The story ahead of IceCream Man wasn't the usual. More about women from Chicago. He also said that "Stan" was at the show tonight and dedicated the song to him.

A+ from me, I had a good time. Sorry I didn't get to meet up with some of the others I don't know how anyone could have missed me. :D

Well just got in from the show and it was great! :thumb: Simply put... Amazing. Ed was on fire. We were in Section 202 and had great seats (3 of us).

IMO, Wolf did a very good job :thumb: and seemed to move around more in this show versus what I recall on 10/16. Dave, Alex, and Ed-Dee all sounded great.

Set list was a bit different....the addition of Crossroads was killer, no Little Guitars....very lil Dave rap with the acoustic....Ed shortened his guitar solo....no Women in Love intro...no 316....seemed like he was rushing it a bit. But again they sounded great. :D

Now for the interesting part  ....., we had a group of 5 in Section 213, 3 in 110, and 4 in section 215 and ALL of us saw guys walking down the aisles with what appeared to be hand held cameras with 8 - 10 inch mics. Also, this is just my opinion (comparing to the show on 10/16) Dave seemed to work the crowd more and the lighting crew lit the fans up more. I guess my point is, it appeared to our group that went that the show was being recorded based on the fact of the guys with the cameras.

All and all it has been a great 2 nights....my son graduated from HS last night and tonight he and I and 13 others went and saw a kick ass VH show...it has been an awesome couple of nights.

One last thing, we were at Shoeless Joes, and I tried to introduce myself to a few guys who I thought were Ron and scoobie, but was denied. Wrong guys. So I ended up just hanging with our group. Saw quite a few guys in Sox shirts and a few Frankenstein striped shirts. If you guys were at shoeless, sorry I missed ya, we were the group in the lower section of shoeless joes, the reserved table of 15.

Oh yeah sorry for rambling, but the Loop 97.9fm played Voodoo Queen from the demo tapes on the way home, hope you guys heard it.

Thats bout it for now. Hope those of you attendning the show made it home safe.

Scott

great show, much better than the 2 last fall.

Scott sorry we missed you, shoeless joe's was loaded(no parking whatsoever).Ron good to talk to you, great looking shirt! :thumb: Good to shoot the shit for a little while. We wound up with sec 110 row bb eddie's side got those for 2for 1 right by the ticket office, so not a bad deal there.Probally could have waiting a little longer and got them cheaper, lots of guys trying to unload MANY seats. The guy and his son got the same thing(I also tunned tim and tj on to this site ;) )
Eddie was FANTASTIC spot on, seemed like eddie and alex just love to jam.Crossroads as said above was a great addition. Dave seemed to really feed off the crowd and it did look sold out, really just a great show.Hopefully this one will surface soon. For the folks up grand rapids way, you'd be stupid to miss the last one.I'm thinking of driving up there monday, that's how great of a show it was here! :yell:

ron have a great time at Boston
