I am still waiting for the Van halen movie that Dave kept saying they were making in 1980. :thumb:
Unless they are gonna do it cheap & dirty by throwing together the moniter footage for a release, it's pretty obvious when a film crew is there shooting for a DVD. There will be cameras on cranes, extra lighting & even lighting on the audience -- especially the front rows.

I wouldn't hold my breathe for an official release :sus:

Now THAT is freakin funny. I agree with you Decatone, but I was just pointing it out as an example in Van Halen's history of announcing things that never come to pass. And when it comes to Sammy, as others here have pointed out, he says a lot of stuff that never happens.

I can tell you there was none of that last night. There were the two usual cameramen down in the pit with shoulder cameras for the video screen. There was nothing out of the ordinary shown on the video screen during the show.

I'd settle for what The Who does on their tours for every show...sell CDs of the house mix of the show and DVDs with the video that goes up on the Jumbotron off their website. I'd gladly pay for pro shots and soundboards of shows I went to. Beats the hell out of a $40 T-shirt.

I agree.

Remember the last DLR show we went to at Pine Knob in 2006? Dave said "we're recording this tonight" then too. Maybe "we're recording this tonight" is the new "Look at all the people here tonight", or "I forgot the fuckin' words" - same routine every night just to get the crowd worked up.

I have a few worries about this, the first being that for each song, there will be a different wardrobe, or a even a different wardrobe in the middle of songs like Right Here, Right Now.

I don't care what clothes the band is wearing...(as long as they are wearing clothes).

Didn't they do the exact same thing on the 1984 tour?
Towards the end, they brought out a roadie with a camera and said they were filming tonight(every night) but the camera had no film or electricity? I think that was from the Van Halen Story DVD.

This Would Be Really Cool, To See A Live DVD Anyways
