I have a few worries about this, the first being that for each song, there will be a different wardrobe, or a even a different wardrobe in the middle of songs like Right Here, Right Now.
To be honest, if it's done right I don't see a problem. If it's marketed as an overview rather than say 'Live at the MSG' and there are no obvious cut/patch ins, it would work. To label the track listings to which show it was would probably get higher sales, due to the fact that more people would buy for the fact that they were there.
If you were to go for the purist approach to an official live dvd, I'd have to say there isn't one! Replicating the experience of a live concert is a pretty singular thing... the only thing that gets near is a great single cam audience filmed show, short of filming the obligatory 'dash for a piss' during the drum solo, that's the nearest thing to actually being there. So to sum up, all live dvds are pretty fake to a degree, although it would be cool to walk up during a lead break and stare at the guitar players fingers :D
As with most things VH, this will be an additional money earner way after the tour finishes, surrounded with hype and the release date put back a couple of times LOL.
If they don't do it... we should see if all the filmers of this tour would be willing put in there footage and get Silver Stallion to make a fans version. :D |

The problem these days with "I heard on the radio..." is that usually the guy on the radio is just some shmoe who makes 7 bucks an hour to push the play button & tell you what you just listened to who read something online & is just regurgitating what we already knew. Thats not a confirmation of the facts, merely perpetuation of the rumor :sus: |
